Some personal things happened in my life and im starting over in Texas! think it will be a good place for me to focus on myself and not worry bout anything!

anyways, just wanted to get peoples opinions on texas etc. hows the cost of living, jobs, etc??? anything i should know would be awesome!

Im gonna be transfering with Pepsi, but will want another job to keep busy etc. gonna be living with my uncle until i know my way around and get a place of my own.

hows the night life? im only 22 so i do enjoy getting out and about.

anything....

oh yea...im moving to el paso if that makes a difference!

Could be mistaken, but doesnt look like theres too many people from El Paso. Just my 2 pennies.....

i am!!! haha and there are only two mazdaspeed3s from el paso kbzon01 and i.
im sure you will like el paso although i figure it does take some time to adjust.IT IS A BORDER CITY and jobs are kind of tough but with the right experience you should be fine, oh and night life depends on what you like to do. we have plenty of places to go at night but during the day IMO is boring. although i have heard lots of tourists say they do like el paso. when do you plan on moving down here, hope i helped. my name is nick by the way

Seeing that you're from Omaha....is that where you're from originally?

El Paso (and much of Texas, really) will be a huge adjustment for you if you're not accustomed to being surrounded by illegals. Prepare to be a minority. I'm from Gillette, WY where the population is 99.99% white and everyone is a U.S. citizen. It was quite an adjustment coming here.

Ive been to El Paso quite a few times with work (Also to Gillette, WY....but thats another story Mr. BlackCherry :)), during the day I might add.......your correct, I must say it did in fact seem like a boring place :p To be honest, I thought I was in Mexico......take no offense my fellow Mazda El Pasians. West Texas is straight country and your typical Texas scene from the hollywood movies.

With all that said, DAMN I love Tejas! And ive been all over the U.S.......Prolly never gonna leave this b****.

Yes, you got surrounded by diversity. ADJUST DAMMIT!!!

On a side note, the DFW metroplex is the place to be!!

i love houston, but would live in DFW if work ever had me move. my industry is all in houston though, so i don't think that would ever happen.

west texas is pretty stereotypical texas. people from chicago have told me that houston is a lot like chicago inside of the loop, but i can't speak from personal experience. i love texas too. this is the only place that i will ever live.

hahahahahahhahahahaaaaaaaaaa, linux, your avatar ROCKS!!!! "SHO NUFF" man, i can't remember the name of that movie for the life of me....remind me.....

"Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon"

yea, i dont even own a mazda anymore, i traded in the pro5 bout 3 years ago, but i know this forum is full of good people and wanted to ask those ?s etc. im waiting to hear from my work about my transfer, but if that goes through i should be moving the week of july 4th.

i know its gonna be a big change, but im thinking thats what i need. ill get use to it.

tejas is awesome. i miss it a lot. theres a good reason so many texans have so much pride. place is a pretty nice place to live. to raise a family and the whole 9 yards.

although i would almost consider el paso part of mexico.

Good Luck dude (thumb) ...hope u enjoy the heat.

im cool with heat, and i was told its just hot in texas, not hot and humind like it is here in Ne during the summer??? thats part of it anyways, i just wanna experience something new.

Oh no.....Its the humidity that makes it so hot during the Texas summers. Just walking out to check your mail makes u wanna come back in your house and wanna take a shower.....you'll be sweating for that minute your outside. And if im not mistaken, El Paso gets pretty frickin hot too like it does over here in Houston. But yea, I can see where your coming from.....some people just need to get away. Let us know how you like the change when you get settled in El Paso.

I loved living in Irving back in 02!

I'm so glad lately, that it's been dry heat, but the humidity will come!!

Yeah tell me about it thats the biggest thing I dislike about florida is the damn humidity. Ill have the 110 texas dry heat over 90 with extremly high hunidity.

oh well, im still cool with the heat, plus my job is indoors so ill be in the AC all day. ha. and yes, i think im just one of those people who need to get away and worry about myself for awhile. i tend to be the nice guy who finishes last, with everything in life. Gonna give texas a try and see how it goes. Plus if all goes well, the job im taking down there is still with Pepsi and a better posistion then what i have now so the money will be better. even after the change in location.

i love the dry weather here in little ol el paso tx!!! :)

hey man, how old are you??? just wondering cause i litterally will only know my uncle when i move down there. and then people i work with yet i like to keep my job and personal life seperate.
