NEMOC Random BS Thread

Yeah the last week was a pretty crappy one for me as well... my grandfather passed away on tuesday (why I wasn't able to go to lime rock).

Then on Friday the owner of my company told us that the President of the company has cancer and the growth is too large to operate so its not looking good..

oh man sorry zach!

Interesting email I got.... I have seen it before, but those who haven't:

I had a neighbor who had bought a new pickup.
I got up very early one Sunday morning and saw
That someone had spray painted red all around the sides
Of this beige truck (for some unknown reason).
I went over, woke him up, and told him the bad news.
He was very upset and was trying to figure out what to do
Probably nothing until Monday morning, since nothing was open.

Another neighbor came out and told him to get his WD-40 and clean it off.
It removed the unwanted paint beautifully
And did not harm his paint job that was on the truck.
I'm impressed! WD-40 who knew?
'Water Displacement #40'
The product began from a search for a rust preventative solvent
And degreaser to protect missile parts.
WD-40 was created in 1953 by three technicians
At the San Diego Rocket Chemical Company.
Its name comes from the project that was to find
A 'water displacement' compound.
They were successful with the fortieth formulation, thus WD-40.
The Corvair Company bought it in bulk to protect their atlas missile parts.

Ken East (one of the original founders)
Says there is nothing in WD-40 that would hurt you.
When you read the 'shower door' part, try it.
It's the first thing that has ever cleaned that spotty shower door.
If yours is plastic, it works just as well as glass. It's a miracle!
Then try it on your stovetop ... Voila!
It's now shinier than it's ever been. You'll be amazed.

I might enjoy driving a Miata if it was possible to drive one without chewing on my knees simultaneously. Plus at 240#'s I would probably make the left hand tires rub in the fenders....(notcool)

AT 6'5" with a 36" inseam it would require a LOT of room. I have barely squeezed into an s2000 and drove a short distance (not comfortably) and I have a very good friend who has a Solstice GXP and I drove hers. Much more leg room than I expected and somewhat comfortable to drive.

Still not enough room for me at 6'3". My left foot is fine getting on the clutch but my right knee gets tangled in the steering wheel trying to hit the brake pedal. I can drive it, but I wouldn't be comfortable for anything more than a short drive.

I had to lose weight to get my NA.. When I was 6'0 and 220 lbs, I couldn't fit very well in it. Now I'm down to 180 and I fit just fine :)

I definitly need to do springs untill i do coilovers. After seeing all the pics from LRP my car does look so high. Thanks for pointing it out Chris :(

Little photo experiment with a new trick I learned with my camera. This is just a test shot of my hat on my desk. I'm going to do a really nice version of this soon.

today I saw a Mazdaspeed6 in Prestwick Scotland, UK. I saw a couple Ford RS which are pretty cool looking. The new civic's here do not resemble a civic. I was working so I felt strange taking pictures of all the cars I saw.
