If you have ever run a MS CAI please post your thoughts about the setup. I've heard people have problems, like 50% maybe with their O2 Sensor and other problems. If you have could you post the problem. I may just return the CAI if I can to Mazda or Sell it on the forum. There is a cobb location in Salt lake and I may just run the Cobb short ram. Again, just trying to get an idea, please take sarcastic remarks to your parents or something.

had CAI since its launch back in Jan 07 or Dec 6 cant remember but never had problem. No cel nothing. Car still run strong and no problem with driving through raging storm or river.

I've had the MS3 CAI on for approx 5k+ miles. No problems. I have the whole pipe wrapped and the filter covered with a water resistant cover. The air straightener is also thrown in there.

I really like cobb and CP-e, but i'm a fan of my warranty. Until that is gone I'll stick with mazda products.

Do you know the hp gain you got from the MS CAI, isnt it almost identical to the AEM CAI?

I've had my MS CAI for 30K miles, no problems. I have an air straightener sitting on the shelf, just haven't put it in. I do run an outerwears cover on the filter. No CELs, no leaks, no water-ingestion.

See my mods in sig. Bought the 2nd gen MSCAI within a week or so of its release with the air straightener. It is simply the AEM rebranded for Mazdaspeed.

Car and Driver dynoed 20 hp and 20 lb torque gains with it.

I do think the air straightener is important. I don't think Mazda would have stopped sale of the 1st gen and had the dealers take them off the shelf if they had not concluded that the straightener was beneficial in helping the MAF get accurate readings.

I'm very happy with the product. I ain't putting no stinking condom on my intake filter. Regardless of what folks say, they do reduce airflow. I live in a high rain, flash flood, hurricane surge area (just about ground zero for Katrina) and I've yet to see anyone with hydrolock.

The AEM generates more power since it comes with an upgraded kanuter valve.

that deserves a laugh, how come nobody thought it was funny. geez. tough crowd. hahahahaha.

i own a mscai and just needed the air straightener and it ran fine. i got a few cels due to the fact my ltft's were off by about 20%. now w the straightener they are back down to around 7%. no mor eproblems.

I installed the MS CAI v2 last month and haven't had any issues with CEL's.

The butt dyno says it pulls stronger and the sound takes a little getting used to.

I'm happy with it.

No problems here with it, runs great. Driving through swamp land florida with flooded streets. Never any check engine lights or anything. I have 20k on it

I have had mine since October and I installed it as a SRI because of winter coming up. Bought the Straightener a week or so later just to be safe.

I have had 0 problems/0 CELS with mine.

I have a mscai and i love it have it for more then 6,000 miles no cels no problem and i have the first generation cai and my car run very smooth

Also on the plus side your warranty wont get ruin (headbang)

Has anyone ever actually read the whole "warranty" policy??

The fine print leads me to believe that your car's warranty is not in fact unquestionably protected if you use the MS CAI...To me, it sounds like they only explicitly warranty the CAI itself... (dunno)

yes it has been read and debated many times on here before.

I've had my Mazdaspeed CAI on from day one, August 07 and no problems . Added the straightener 6 months ago. So far this is my favorite mod.

Im a new owner...so I havent had too much experience yet, but I will say that the factory bypass valve sounds pretty loud with the MS CAI and the turbo spool is much more prominent
