anybody ever put a regular protege motor in your mazdaspeed before?
Don't forget the oil cooler!
Is it really THAT necessary? I haven;t ran one in forever I was thinking rnning an external one though in the future.
penny, where are you located??
there's a bunch of people on here that know a lot about the motors.. if you start posting, you might find some people close to you that know a lot too. that would come over and help you.. I charge a fee for use at my shop, but i may or may not be close.. who knows..
the motor is exactly the same internally except the trans cooler and the windage tray..
it's an easy swap. i could prolly do it in a day.. i've had my motor in and out so many god damn times..
i'm not 100%, but i believe you can use the stock oil pan.. either way, if your motor is still in your car.. pull the oil pan, windage tray, and the oil cooler off yourself.. swap them over(out of the car).. and then put the motor in..
hey i new i just wondering were i could find a motor for my mazdaspeed protege. i blew it racing a bmw m3. i knew i wasnt going to win but it was fun. so can u guy help me.
I suppose you could, but wouldn't that all be easier outa the car?
