What have you done to your P5 today?

Well s***, let us know how that thing ends up. That's a pretty cool project.

What is the stock piping on the P5...I was told to go 2.5 on this exhaust...it will all have to be cut up as this one goes out the left instead of the right...

I figure the most it will cost me to get done is around $100...that is what the shop said and that is the Very high end of doing it...

Worth it I guess...I just like being different...lol...

I will tell you this the MZ3 exhause on a NA 3 sounds damn good! So I can imagine that it will sound good on the P5. Like you said it will all have to be peiced together due to the 3 and the pro's exhuast are on different sides.

That will be the biggest part of making it work, but I don't see it being a big hassle...

just cut the pipe 3in back of the canister on the mz3 exhaust. then cut your exhaust right after the flange on the mid pipe (home made catless midpipe) and drive it to an exhaust shop. Ask for 2.5 to the muffler and that should do it. did that on my turbo mp3, only diff was i used a thermal r&d muffler from a rsx type s

Used engine restore for the first time today and put some belt dressing on the belts to quiet those suckers down a bit. Didn't do too much driving today so no impressions of the engine restore yet.

Oh and I am looking for an Injen CAI if anyone has one for sale.....

You might just as well piss in it, as use that crap, all that stuff is basically snake oil.

Just found out that Azenis RT-615s won't get you out of your yard if there is the slightest hint of mud. Hahaha. What a mess now.

Oooh...and when the movers came & dropped off my stuff...what did I find?
A BNIB set of Brembo rotors and some ceramic brake pads....lol.

First handwash of the season. Still to early to bring out the hoses so took a little longer, but it looks pretty good.

Wish my camera worked so I could take some pics to post here. :(

Just got inside from working on my spare engine. Today I managed to remove the valve cover, cam gears, cams, cylinder head and torque converter. I'm kind of at a stopping point until I can borrow/purchase an impact wrench to remove the drive plate and crank pulley. With those off I can remove the water pump, oil pump and front and rear main seals. After that I need an engine stand so I can remove the oil pan, lower crank support and everything else. Then I can start gathering and assembling the new bits...

BTW, I'll be selling everything except the block, crank and oil pump so if anyone needs anything...

How hard is it to swap out an AC compressor?
My stock one gave out & I have a 2nd hand one from a member who parted out his wrecked P5...

Doing the compressor itself shouldn't be too bad. Its all the work you need to do with the R134 that can be a pain.

You need to have the freon evacuated, then bolt in the new compressor with a new drier. Take it to a shop and have them pull a vacuum on it to remove moisture and contaminates from having the system open, then have it recharged.
