I'm flying in on the 25th with the family for 10days, just trying to find out what's good to do, and if there are any good night spots.

Just vacation in Honolulu, cant find what hotel it was, looking for a good club for the wife, dont know what we are looking to do just yet. but in total its 7 people. my parents(lets say older), brother(21), and my wife and kids(7 and 13).

Waikiki has tons of clubs, Senior Frogs feels like cinco de mayo everyday, Zanzabar, Lotus (more hip-hop/house), W hotel, Level 4.
Ala Moana shopping center has a decent night life: Pearl Ultralounge (classier Vegas style club), Mai-Tais (very local crowd/hawaiian music), Tsukijis.
Resturant Row, a bit past Ala Moana, has Oceans 808 (pretty popular club).

Diamond head Was OK IMHO....I did see a whale while I was up there...but couldnt capture it on film.

THe north shore is where I would go for some serious swimming/surfing....The waves were crazy up there while I was there.
Sunset beach seened to have the best we saw the day we were up that way.

YOu definately have to do a Luau while you are there.....I didnt and I regret it but I was really busy.

Germaines COmes highly reccomended by a bunch of guys I was threr with who went and the locals......IT was $70 a person...but it was all you can eat and includes round trip transportation.

Do not go in the water out North Shore unless it's summer time if you are not a very strong swimmer. Suggest you ask the Lifeguard if it's safe or not. The under current is pretty mean. Sharks might try to taste you. LOL Was able to get away for a little bit...saw a pod of whales waving their fins and tails at us jumping all the way out of the water...it was so amazing! No Monk seals this time round...or Honu (turtle).

Polynesian Cultural Center for luaus. Prepare to spend most of the ending half of your day and evening there.
