I've had mine off for about 3 years... gets the high school integras and civics off ya... unless you want to bug them.
The only reason I would take the wing off is if I was going so fast that I wanted to lose the extra drag lol. It's what makes it look like a MSP! Joka's car is legit tho.
One more wingless MSP Lol...

The wing kinda makes it, that's the one thing I always look for when I see a Mazda on the highway.. that wing lets me know it's a MSP.
I would very much like to go wingless but im too poor for a cf trunk and i dnt wnt holes in my trunk. But if i could i would. Looks great on those ^^^ guys cars.
Instead of buying a carbon fiber trunk I called up LKQ automotive; a used auto parts parts supplier located here in FL, to try a find just a regular protege trunk. A day later I got a call back after they found me a 02 protege trunklid for $130. Not a bad deal at all, also considering that I paint cars that helps reduce the cost of labor/paint dramatically LOL, but even still its worth a try for anyone interested in just a regular trunk. Plus they are very light in weight to begin with and look sooo clean without the wing.
If you aren't interested in the carbon fiber look , this is the way to go imo. I can give you the number to call my friend Adam,lmk![]()
So ur saying ur friend can probably hook it up on a cf trunk? If so, please pm details.
no, an oem protege trunk. Re-read what I wrote. If you want a trunk without holes< i can most likely source one out for you.
