i just purchased the SSQV and flange kit seperately from SU because it was cheaper that way, neither item came with instructions on how to actually mount the SSQV to the flange... can anyone help me out?

should just have to put the 2 halves together with the C clip... then bolt the flange to the factory location..

well i ordered the MS3 flange kit... it comes with the flange, and an o-ring... the BOV itself came with a c-clip, a thicker o-ring that i dont know what use it has... and some zipties. i can get some pictures of what i mean if itll help you explain... i dont know how to really describe it

pics are prb a good idea, but the oring that came with the MS3 kit, and the C clip should make an assembly that works...

oh nevermind, theres a groove in the flange... didnt see that, just gonna be a real pita to get that c-clip in there, thanks for your input though

yeah the O ring should keep it all seated together and sealed. I think you just gotta compress the clip, press em together, and release it once you've got it positioned right. probably takes 3 hands to do the easy way. lol

my only other question is the groove on the backside of the flange... looks like another o-ring should sit in there but i only got one with the kit... and the one that came with the BOV itself is too large for it, hopfully the stock mount has one i can recycle?

one that came with the BOV goes on top, one that came w the flange goes on the bottom.

gasket that came with the BOV should go between the flange and the BOV (by the C clip), gasket that came with the flange should go between the flange and the mounting plate on the car.

HKS to MS3 flange DIAGRAM?

can anyone show me a picture guide or link me to one, or just explain exactly how the o-rings and c-clip are supposed to sit when i mount my HKS SSQV to the ms3 flange kit??

Get a good set of snap ring pliers for that big ass C clip...

Biggest pain in the ass install ever, I broke 4 heads off my snap ring pliers putting that in.

hmm.. doesnt seem to work like that, both grooves in the flange are the same size (the size of the gasket with the adapter kit) so it seems the one that came with the bov is too big?

You do need to have some snap ring pliers to fit the to together. place the bov into the flange then put the c clip in on top. it will hold it, mine has been that way for months.

I took these a few months ago right after I put everything together and right before I stuck it in the car.

That was the absolute craziest C-ring I've ever seen. Usually, there's a tiny gap you need to close in order to get it into place - this one had a good 3/4 of an inch you needed to close together to get the thing in. What a PITA.

Oh, and re: what you asked (it's been a few months, as I said), but I believe the MS3 Kit and Valve seat together as is - it's tight - real tight. The O-Ring goes into the grove on the opposite side when you mount it to the engine.

Edit: Also, make sure you mount it as I have it pictured with the large opening pointing up and the small nipple pointing down. Once you get everything in place, the large part of the "UFO-looking" piece will hit the adapter, so you won't be able to rotate it to the correct position.

Man, I'm just post-whoring it up here. Here's how it should sit in the engine. Notice I had to ghetto cut the intercooler shroud (I cleaned it up later with a Dremel).

I also purchased a longer recirculation hose from Street Unit because of the odd angle the valve sits at - using the stock hose will cause it to pinch pretty heavily due to the shorter length. The majority consensus is that this will not impede any function, but I wanted to make absolutely sure.
