Is it just me or is there no option of getting a strut bar for our cars? Is our chassis stiff enough that we don't see aftermarket ones being sold because we dont need it?

corksport makes one i think, or they make one for the ms6. i was wondering about that too. it would probably help a little at least. I guess the engine sits high, so I'm wondering if it has to do with clearance.

there already is a strut support for the ms3. Its bolted from the strut towers to the firewall.

i bought the gt spec one listed on an unnamed site that guaranteed fitment for the msp 3 and they are liars !!! i had to sell it to a buddy with a regular mazda 3 5 door.

the so-called "firewall" is a big chunk of stamped steel that is bolted onto the actual unibody itself... the actual cowl assembly is what it is... if you actually took the plastic cowl panel off, you will see a big cutout around where the wiper motor sits (behind the brake booster)... then you will realize then that it's not as strong as everybody thinks! why you think there was popping/rattling issues back in 06 (the s*** wasn't bolted on tight enough)? really, the ms3 setup isn't a lot different than the normal 3... all mazda did was modify the cowl assembly to have mounting tabs for those little braces that come up from the strut towers... sure they do help a bit, but not as much as you think!

when I installed my autoexe strut bar on my sp23, it made a huge difference in how the car handled... it's a lot more stable, predictable, confidence inspiring, and responsive than without the bar... so bottom line is, don't buy into what mazda PR tells you... there's always room for improvement in chassis bracing!

^^

For track duty, probably yes but on a DD, strut bars are almost always pointless.
