Nice car but where exactly does it "eat the GTO's lunch".

very nice, If i got a 2 seater it would be S2K with a turbo kit, those suckas flyyy.
I was going to trade it for an SRT-6 a while back at a local Car Sense (local used car chain) but didn't because of the abysmal trade in they offered me.
I got 17k flat for the trade. It was a 2008 GT w/ 4,900 miles in absolute PERFECT condition- not a singe scratch or ding on it. According to KBB it's worth 18,200 for trade. Of course dealers never want to give you what it's worth, at least in regards to KBB. They use trades as leverage to make more money out of the deal. The only reason why I did it now as opposed to earlier is because I actually had about 2,600 positive equity in the MS3 because I've been paying over my monthly payment towards the principal.
At first the salesman came back and as quickly as an auctioneer ripped through some numbers and ended the sentence with my monthly payment. I said, "Wait a minute- tell me the actual numbers, how much are you giving me for my MS3". He responded, "14k". I was insulted and started to get up to leave. Car dealers/salesmen are scum of the earth man, absolute snakes- they will try to **** you any chance they get. When they saw my reaction they knew I wasn't an idiot and going to be fooled by the vacillation on monthly payment all the while skewing the numbers HEAVILY in their profitable favor.
I guess I do have a problem with that, when it's so far been people who have absolutely NO problems with the car, and literally seem to just get "bored" or feel like the car isn't a potential trailer-queen so they get bummed out and go somewhere else. I just find it really foolish especially in a tough economy with money hard to come by and all we can think about is spend, spend, spend. People are pretty less fortunate than we are, to be driving or owning what we do now a days.. Having a fast, reliable car is pretty awesome. I love my MS3. I love all cars really, and like someone said, at $19k that's actually a STEAL!is there a problem with that? people buy a trade cars after 1-2years all the time..

I know; Dinan and Turner have Stage 1 re-maps that make 360 hp and 370 lb.ft. The Dinan Stage 2 numbers are 384/421. The only other thing I'd have to add is a limited-slip diff.
"At the track" (ie turns). .90g skidpad/67mph slalom
Well I finally traded my Mazdaspeed 3 in this past weekend, for a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6. The car is practically mint, w/ 12k miles and sold for 19k. Not to bad considering they sold for over 45k new a few years back. I'm sure not many on here would be fans of this car as it's 1) a Chrysler and 2) Only available in auto in the SRT trim.
It's got the German Built AMG SLK32 engine which is a supercharged 3.2L 6. 330hp/320ft/lbs of torque stock. After doing some minor research I found it can hit the low 12's consistantly with 4 mods (Pulley upgrade, intake, chip, and exhaust) which yeild it over 420hp/400ft/lbs at the rear wheels. I even saw one run a 12.1 at the local (Atco raceway) track here a few months back.
I didn't trade the Mazdaspeed3 in because I didn't like it- it was indeed a great vehicle. Coming from previous cars such as a 2005 STi my biggest complaint is the FWD configuration, and it's funky transmission (occasionally 3rd wouldn't exist- though that can be chalked up as driver error).
I've been to Mazda and back a few times- I joined way back when I got a Protege5, then was away for a while when I traded it for an STi, then like 3 cars in between before coming back to Mazda with the Speed3. I may be back someday- though I have my eye on getting a late model Z06 in the next 5 years. I've found a few with low miles in the 48-49k range (that's my ultimate semi-dream sports car considering dealers aren't selling the GTR for under 90k and Porsches are over 100k.
Anyway good luck everyone with their MS3's! Don't take any crap from those SRT-4s, and Cobalt SS's.
Btw, anyone know if my Dashhawk will work with the Crossfire SRT-6? Also I have a fresh set of 18" MS3 stock rims for sale now (I was going to put winter tires on them but never did).

No offense but this is one of the strangest and most unforeseen trades I have seen EVER! Those cars are ugly and non functional. Also, if you are looking a 12 sec car that is what you got? Just seems strange. To each his own. I just dont know how you ever ended up in an STI, MS3 and then that?

There are kids in africa that are starving, lacking water and medical attention, send them some of your food, send them some of your water and send them your kaiser card, sharing is caring, right?People are pretty less fortunate than we are, to be driving or owning what we do now a days..
The only thing I removed was the Apex mount for my Dashhawk.
Who asked for your commentary? Please keep your personal problems off the internet, it's foolish to think people will care.
That's fantastic...I know the economy is tough, I personally have not felt the economy "pinch", probably because I don't work in retail or in manufacturing or loans/realty. But because of this "economy", I can buy and trade cars in and be comfortable with the prices they are at![]()
Maybe if you took a second to read the post, you'd understand that I was basically saying that a lot of people's priorities seem to be out of wack just because their perfectly fine MS3 isn't "fast" enough or doesn't yield "potential" like other cars out there. There are kids in africa that are starving, lacking water and medical attention, send them some of your food, send them some of your water and send them your kaiser card, sharing is caring, right?
