What have you done to your P5 today?

At least you didn't have to pay "the first time". They obviously just pulled the car out and parked it, but it still would have left a little puddle behind. No matter what is done to the car it should be taken for a spin just to make sure stupid things like this don't happen and cause you to possibly have a head gasket replacement in your future $$$!

That is kinda why I am tempted to just run the car dry. New motor under warranty.

I don't know. Whoever had the car before me took crap care of the motor

Cause if I didn't have my gauges, i wouldn't even know it is running hot or low oil pressure

Wouldn't hurt to first do a radiator flush and change the thermostat $10 30min. Was it documented when they didn't hook up the coolant line to the tb.

I don't think it was. They picked it up with thier tow truck and dropped it off at my office.

Shoulda gotten it documented though. That was stupid not to

I'm gonna drop the car off at the mechanics tomorrow and let him have at it

That's what I have but I think it's way too thick. I just couldn't pass up the deal. If I keep the P5 I'll probably have to go to a slimmer PWR or AWR radiator to allow the use of a larger turbo with my current fans.

100psi oil pressure....not right! you could have a bad sending unit? or another internal engine problem?

If you "liked" that job....wait until you do the rear. OMFG it is sooooo much fun! (ughdance)
I am doing the rear when I go to P&P and remove vtcs the manifold so it shouldn't be to bad. But I am buying a whole rear mount, not inserts
I told you it sucked. Did yours piss all over you like mine did?
Nope
what's normal oil operating temps and pressure? I'm getting 252 degrees and idle at 14 psi and cruise at 45 psi

also, when i idle, engine coolant temps spike to nearly 250 as well. I am doing an oil change and coolant flush tonight to see if it helps. i'll also check the plugs
Don't gotta oild temp, but my pressure is around 80 +/- start up, 30-40 idle, 70 +/- cruise (depending temp
I didn't overheat yesterday. This just started yesterday with the engine coolant temp jumping.

I overheated when I got the car back from the Mazda dealer getting a new intake manifold pu in. Geniuses there didn't reattach the hoses so i sprayed all my engine coolant all over the engine bay
Change your thermostat

My guess is bad ground. That happened to me when the ground nut got loose

I had a bad ground before and with a bad ground, it just pinned it to 100PSI. It does come down as the oil warms up

Also, it does not pin to 100 psi on startup now. It only goes to 50 or so

Sounds like what my old Autometer did. When I first installed it, it always read 50 psi at 3000 RPM and above and always hung around 10 psi at idle. Over time it started getting lower and lower until it was pretty much reading 0 psi at idle and never went above 35 psi while driving. Only on cold starts did it ever get up to 50 psi. Maybe something's just gunked up or the connection with the sending unit is bad?

Had a little bit of winter fun with the P5! Some nice little twists on the way home! I don't care it's a FWD lol I still call that drifting! (2thumbs)
But good god it is dirty...! Guess that's the down side of winter...
