What have you done to your MSP today?

allready have all that but thanks. Those 3 sheets are what i used to check the ring gap and the end play in the crank

let me know how it goes after you first start it up

be sure to properly break her in

a good rule of thumb:
(start with dino oil)
1 hr idling
--change oil (using dino again)
30 minutes of idle, then begin the road breaking in (that process is personal preference there) till you get to about 30-50 miles
--change oil (you can run synthetic if you want now, but no need)
around 200-300 miles change your oil again (synthetic)

oil changes are the most important part of it all! the street break in is important as well, but religiously change your oil at the beginning....also be sure to not be afraid to do a couple hard pulls when breaking it in, break it in too softly and you can run into bearing issues later on (seen it happen)...you need to have a good mix of lots of soft runs and a few hard pulls

let us know how it goes! you must be pretty excited!

cant beat on it hard cause got a new clutch goin in with it and yes i am very excited. o and btw i swapped out for some 03 msp rims =)

I've been on the fence about ordering this product. Did it do anything other than silence the squeak? Tell us whats "Heaven" is like.
I can't give a 'full' review just yet, since I haven't had the opportunity to really romp on the car around turns. I've only driven my MSP with the kit installed twice so far today -- to work and then back, 20 minutes each way, and most of it on the highway. And both times, I had two wheels in the back seat and bags of crap all over. So I couldn't take turns hard without everything falling around all over the place.

From what I COULD tell, though ..

I no longer have ANY clunking and/or squeaking coming from the back of the car. Dead silence. That in itself is fantastic enough.

But I can also tell that the back end of the car has 'tightened up'. I don't know how else to describe it.

I'll give more details once I've had the chance to rip around some corners over the weekend. :)

oh by 'hard' I don't mean launch it lol, I mean like a couple full throttle pulls =P

nice on the 03 rims! I personally wanna drop in a set of 03.5s.....lol, the grass is always greener on the other side?

actually I wanna time attack them with a spicy orange lip lol

lol i just wanted somethin different. And yea i know what you meant i just didnt think it was good to give it full throttle with in the 1st 500 with the clutch and flywheel being brand new

pics of my previously mentioned spare tire fiasco carnage....

inside the spare tire, you can see the ring toward the back (outer when mounted on the car) where the front caliper contacted it, and then where the bends are made where the center part of the wheel meets the outer ring is where it contacted the rear caliper...

caliper looks pretty nasty, but I don't have any braking problems yet... *knocks on wood*

(pic of caliper won't seem to upload, I'll play with it later. its gorgeous out and I can hear my grill calling my name)

Here is my Yesterday Dyno Video.. I still need to fix some issues i'm having, car have a crazy Intake Manifold Leak, my clutch is giving up on me, is slipping on 4th and 5th gear at full boost, also i need to get the Intake Filter away from the turbo insane heat and hot air the Radiator Fans are blowing, also i need a better tune to run higher boost, let me know what you guys think, once again positive and negative feedbacks are welcome..

I can't wait for 505zoom's Intake Manifold..... RICH HURRY THE **** UP !!!!! lol lol J/K

DAMN.... Look at that speedometer move.....i think it shows we don't have a governor limiting top speed.

someone posted this comment "if that many htings were wrong why run it till there fixed"

exactly what i was going to say. if you have a huge leak at the manifold, then why not fix it? you said you wanted the dyno for a comparison, well thats hardly a fair comparison.

other than that, those are some numbers to be jealous of.

not really. with the haltech standalone (any standalone for that matter) you cut the stock ecu fuel and timing control out. therefore, the stock ecu cannot perform fuel cut.

Well, I'm not fixing the leak because 505zoom IM is going in.. what's the point of wasting a IM gasket when im going to put a better manifold.. plus rich's wanted me to dyno my car before and after the installation of his manifold... i wanted to know what i was putting down also before fixing the issues i have...

so basically... for s**** and giggles. I can live with that. Definitely an impressive pull, and some great numbers, even without considering the known issues. lol

also that pull was done on 5th gear and on pump gas 98 octane, that's why the dyno graph shows an insane curve when the turbo kicked in up top... car went up to 165mph according to the dyno... you can tell how fast the needle went from 100-to 165 mph that turbo have a mad mad pull when it kicks in.. i need to still fix things up and have a better map to make it run better..
