Another badluck!

Ok, this is really getting ridiculous...

I don't know what's with this bad karma recently, but I've owned the car for about 5 months, and this is what happened so far;

-problems with original contract, took more than a week to finalize, tons of problem with dealer
-brakes problems that needed about 4 visits to the dealer
-dash light not working, had to be replaced
-radio got damaged by dealer while doing dash light service
-white smoke came out of exhausts about a month ago, dealer could not find any problem
-Got my key stolen, had to pay 300$ to get a new one
-bump near my handle, someone tried to do the "Mazda3 trick"
-rock in windshield on highway, now it's cracked
-got bumped into about a month ago, scraches on rear bumper and taillights

And the latest one: Victim of a hit and run! Looks like a car hit my front bumper, on the side. Result: a bump + dented and scrached bumper, now unclipped /loose on one side.

Seriously, I just cannot believe it how the bad lucks have been happening one after another recently, all of them related to cars...

This is without considering that my previous car, a nearly new Mazda3 now owned by my wife, got broken into (resulting in one extra bump near the handle), was also a victim of another hit and run, and got someone else's door slammed into it.

Seriously, I feel like I bought "Christine"....
It is a very frustrating day for me....

Aw dude that sucks. I feel for you. That's some bad luck. =(
On newer Mazda3 (later 07 and up), the Mazda3 trick shouldn't work. Your wife's Mazda3 got broken into that way? What year is it.

Also $300 for a key is way over priced. Not trying to rub it in further but just letting you know for next time. How did your key get stolen? I would suggest getting a third key, this time blank and not programmed and programming the third key yourself. I'm not 100% sure if this can be done on the Mazda6/Speed6, someone else can chime in on this. That way you only pay 20-30 bucks for the blank key and if a key gets stolen you still have 2 keys. It's important to note that you need 2 programmed keys to program a blank key. That's why if you only have 2 and one gets stolen, you have no choice but to go to the dealer and get hosed by the inflated price.

Are you doing something with insurance about your two cars?
Also try a different dealer, the one you're going to sounds really bad.
The white smoke is likely bad turbo seals.

It's one of those that the trick shouldn't work (dunno) but it did. It's a 2007. I already verified with the dealer where we bought the 3, and the confirmed that it wasn't affected by the door weakness. So I asked him to sit down cause I had some bad news for him.... ;)

As for the Speed6, the keycard at the dealer is 166$ CAN. Thank god who stole it forgot the emergency key (in case the card doesn't work) so I didn't have to pay the extra 50$ for it. So 166$ + tax + programming, say about 250$.

For now, I do not plan to declare any of this to my insurance company. So far, I was lucky only only to have to pay the key. We actually got our bumps on the same night on our doors, so that would have been 1000$ to pay to claim our insurance money. 2 cars involved, 2 deductibles to pay. Not worth it for door bumps IMO.

So I chose to pay 250$ for the card and forget the rest for now.

As for my "newly shaped bumper", I'll go see a guy I know tomorrow who might be able to do something. If it's 300$ more or less, I'll let him do it. If he tells me there's more than 400$ of damage, I'll have no choice to go the insurance way and make a claim. That really sucks cause I had a clean record for more than 6 years now. I'm afraid of seeing my annual insurance amount go up more than a couple of hundred, for 6 years (the time it takes to clear).

As for the different dealer, it's already done. I'm not going back there ever. I had no choice for the problems I mentioned, cause most of the were present when I bought the car, so they needed to do the repairs to be covered by the dealer's warranty. As an example, my brake problem. But so far, I can't say that I had a better experience with the second dealer, but I'll see with time.

I'll let you guys know what happened with the bumper.

Thanks for listening, I needed to let it out. :(
