What voids warranty?

I've got a new Speed3 with quite a while left on the warranty and I want to start working with some performance upgrades including TBE or CBE, intake, FMIC, BPV, shifter bushings, engine mount, ect. Which of these things would void my warranty?

depending on your dealership, all of them. If you want to modify your car, be sure to put it back to stock everything before taking it in for service.

Yeah, it really depends on the dealer. As long as whatever you install isn't related to the problem you're looking to get fixed under warranty then you should be fine. Just raise hell if they act like they are going to void it.

That would be a lot of work to undo all of what I'm planning on doing..... Should I go to the dealer and ask about their policy?

Going to Skyland Automotive In Asheville NC voids your worranty!

I was gonna say: "Starting the motor, applying the brake, opening a window..." ;)

If you want to get the dealer's position on mods, get it in writing. Otherwise it'll be, "I don't know who told you that. Everyone knows driving the car voids the warranty."

Talk to your dealer and see how they feel about certain mods. Also, make sure you visit them regularly, find out how much they will charge to change your oil with YOUR oil and filter and let them do the work. I know the biggest thing they get upset about is they sell you the car and then never see you again until you come in modded with a smoking turbo and want warranty to cover it. They have no loyalty to you and dont know the car. If they know the car, you and what you have done (I suggest staying away from the turbo while you mod) they are going to work with you A LOT more than if they dont... Simple truth. Also, look for the Mom and Pop Mazda dealer, they work harder to keep your business.

Take anything and everything possible off when you take it in. When I had my RSX, I took it on because a tray popped off under the steering column and because I had an aftermarket head unit they voided my entire warranty.

**** mazda
if you want mods, don't expect the dealers to work on your car.
i went to the same service department for all of my oil changes. this is where i brought the car. i told them all of the mods, and as soon as i went in with a cel, they voided my warranty

fuk it man if you want to do it right take out a 30k loan mod the hell out of your car and then if anything breaks u should be able to fix it...

problem solved.
