im installing my techone hids right now and im wondering if i have to remove the entire metal peice around the bulb or just the top before inserting the bulb into the headlight?

also anybody know if homedepot has 3m doulbe sided tape?

I believe so, if not then autozone does

go to photobuck.com and make an account, then u will see an area where you can upload pictures, right under that area you should see a lil link that say old uploader,

Click on that and u will be able to browse you computer for pictures to upload and u can upload alot of pics at one time and u can edit them when u upload them to photobucket.

If you start doing the whole forum think you will love photobucket

stock turbo and stock manifold, no you do not.

yea, it is possible, but it takes some finessing

I find it easier to just remove the manifold to do it, but then again I can completely remove, dismantle, rebuild, and then replace the turbo assembly in 3 hours now cause Ive done it so much lol

I ask cause when I went to my mechanic to ask how to do it he said the whole turbo would have to come off and it would take three hours or so. But my manifold and turbo are stock

i replaced my wga in 15 min. but i had a lift and was able to get under the car. i wouldnt take the turbo off just do replace the wga if you are stock

what kind of paint was it and did it match farely will the interior

I used some paint, America's finest fast drying all-purpose int/ext spray paint. Just tried it, liked it, and kept em black. Now it makes my messed up cf hood more noticeable atleast to me. Gotta pay $100-150 to paint it black soon.

Well, it did match the interior pretty good. even though I wasnt trying to. Just got bored and the 3pod pillar I got used, and needed to be repainted. Thought it would match a CF Hood better. It makes it harder to see inside the car and you can't tell there's gauges(or pillars) unless your up close. I like that part.

well my string of bad luck while installing s*** myself continues. during the fmic install, i broke the bracket that holds the ac drier in place. while installing my hids just now, i lost that little piece of metal that holds the bulb in place. ive looked everywhere and i cant find the ******. off to the stealership tommorow morning. the car's barely moved in 1.5 months

will a bad wga cause a cel of fuel mixture too lean? i think im gonna try to clean the egr, i dont have the time to replace the wga right now but im gettin sick of the rough idle

Blew into the wastegate only to find out that its bad.... took very little effort to blow into the wastegate vac line. It did have some back presure but wasnt overly hard to blow into it or anything.

yea your symptoms sounded like the wastegate

just replace it and youll be fine, protege garage carrys the replacement (thumb)

thanks.. Now what first motor mounts or wastegate... I have a slight 3rd gear grind if I dont wiggle it going in and shift extra slow. Maybe my car wont run so damn rich if I get the wastegate...

I have tons of black soot on the rear after a few days driving normal(going into boost under normal acceleration)

yeah starting the car, had the same one a week ago, and it is the lean mixture one. im gonna try cleaning the throttle body this weekend along with the EGR
