GP Light Weight Protege pulleys

i don't have any solid times or anything, but i def noticed it revs quicker. especially with the fidanza LWFW.

if i quick shift i can spin 2nd pretty good and chirp 3rd. no quick shift but driving hard i can still chirp 2nd. that was even before the FTC

I can tell you that maybe the gain that you see is definetely the Light FW...The pullies will make you rev faster but the bang there is definetely the FW...

^^^ are you serious about the 0.3-.5 off your 1/4 mile time?

Definately. I'm not getting a discount or anything by saying that, just wanted to put in my .02 about the pullies. 1 year ago, my best time was 17.98 and I had to hit my run perfectly to get that. I went down a few weeks ago like I said and I pulled a best of 17.56 but had a horrible 60'. I'm confident that I can pull a 17.4. At the beginning of the season I was able to hit a 17.57 with the trunk stripped and the back seat out and only 2 pullies installed at the time (waterpump and ALT). My latest run had full interior and trunk stuff but all pullies were installed. So, yeah .3 definately for me, but due to driver error and weather variables, could be as good as .5.

Its good to see people post this kind of info. The 4pc kit has a gain of 10-12 HP (give or take).

So I have to ask; I've been following this thread for some time now so is everything resolved? For instance, if I were to order the 3 or 4 piece pulley set, how long would I be waiting?

I saw 6hp out of the 3 piece set, and with how huge the weight loss is on the crank pulley, I don't doubt the 10-12 from the 4 piece set one bit. Noticeable gain from the 3 piece for sure, and on top of that the new PS pulley is oh so badass. Had more than a few buddies ask me about it while the hood was open.

The motor mounts are awesome too.

Yes, all orders that we are aware of are clear. Products ship in 1-3 days depending on when you order them.

I have the 4 piece set. There is definitely a noticeable gain driving around the street let alone getting on the throttle on an open strip......These paired up with the 3 piece motor mount set are awesome. I would recommend these to anyone that wants a bit quicker acceleration and the mounts are comparable to stock but hold similar to the AWRs.

I bought the 3 MM's for the MSP but only install two...the rear one is a BIIIITCH, anyhow...I felt lots of vibration, for example my muffler rubs in the bumper and my stock 03.5 MSP wing looks like its going to broke in the center(middle) section.
Q: When I install that rear b****y motor mount this vibration will be gone, or its going to turn worst? I ask BC I heard some members that claim its going to be gone and some say that it turns worst...But don't know the facts behind all this...

stiffer engine mounts WILL transmit more vibration throughout the whole car. but you get a lot less drivetrain movement resulting in crisper response and better harder launches. i.e, no or significantly reduced wheel hop

getting poly exhaust hangers will keep the exhaust from moving a lot and hitting things. i have them, they are great.

^^^^ Cougar couldnt have put it better. The oem MM have "holes" in them to absorb the vibration in the mount and engine and drivetrain, but the vibrations and movement of the motor and drivetrain also cause it to tear and , which is why alot of people look towards solid mounts.

the Solid mounts keep the drivetrain from moving giving you the better response all around better driveability. however, most solid motor mounts are so hard that all the vibrations that get absorbed through the oem mounts are now transposed to the frame and cabin. Medieval motor mounts keep most of the vibrations in the mounts, hold the drivetrain stiff and are completely solid, giving you the best of both worlds. Whereas other companies the produce solid mounts give you hella cabin vibrations but hold the drivetrain.......

lol Medieval MMs are the best MMs on the market end of story.

I would recommend you get the polyurathane exhaust hangers as well to stop the exhaust vibrating.

I already have the medieval MM's, (haven't install the rear b****y MM yet...) Thanks for the explination guys, but I already know all those facts (didn't know about the hangers...thanks though)

What I'm asking is if some of you (posting on this thread) have noticed reduced vibration when installing the whole 3 MM's than installing only 2 or 1 motor mount...In my case, I hope vibration reduce a little when I instal the rear MM.

BC I have heard that people sometimes don't have the tools (or didn't have the time to lower the front chassis to install the rear one, like me) to install the 3 MM's.

^One thing I would recommend is getting the 4th mount when it comes out. Something tells me that the lack of balance between the solid passenger side and the stock driver side is causing a lot of those vibrations for you. The rear mount will probably take away some of the vibration loss the driver side mount would get rid of, but I can't say for sure.

That make more sense now...I was thinking of filling the holes of the OEM driver side MM with window black Polyurethane(3M Brand-OLD SCHOOL WAY(headbang)) after I install the rear b****y MM...
I will do it this weekend!

I have a solid front mount and filled side mounts and I have very little vibrations except at idle with the fan/AC on...

Since noone answered it: the vibrations from the solid rear mount should get a little better. When I first installed mine, the cab vibrated so badly that the resonance hurt my ears but that only lasted a couple weeks and only during warm-up on really cold days. After a few months, there was a noticeable decrease in vibrations. They will not go away, but you might get used to it. Me, I deal with the vibrations because I know the performance gain and feel that the solid mount gives you. I couldn't stand all the wheel hop I had before, so I deal with the vibes.

Everyone’s pain threshold will be different. One might feel the vibrations are acceptable while another feels it’s intolerable. The fact is our mounts transfer the least amount of vibrations than the competition. So, if our mounts vibration is intolerable, the competitions mounts will kill you.

Awesome, thanks. I just bought a wave of new items recently so I'll have to put this off but at least I know everything will be ready to go.
