heh yuh, i'll have to upload the pics you took of it hehe
Oh you mean the ones I attempted to take when he was right in front of us and then he shot off into the other lane? LOL!
NOICE! That's awesome. I was actually really hoping that the lazer blue- like S2k color was made for the AP1s, but alas it was not. Oh well, may be time for a black or white car next![]()
p0171 system too lean (bank 1)What the code your getting?
Sounds like P0171 "Bank 1 System too Lean". Trust me, I know this code VERY well. This is a common problem over with the MSP guys. Check for any exhaust leaks before the primary O2 sensor (ie header/head connection) and check for any vacuum leaks after the MAF. The causes for this CEL are limitless ranging for bad sparkplugs to a dirty MAF too dirty injectors to a vacuum leak. I'm actually waiting for mine to come back on here shortly.
see aboveDon't worry about the lean, it is prob just coming on because the evap. The lean code always throws for me when another code come up.
see above
But the evap is either a loose gas tank or a loose vacuum line or it just came off. I would check the gas cap then check all of the vacuum lines in the engine to see if any or loose or came off.
nah, mine had that too, on the first start up it should burn off and u'll be good
when i painted mine i put it in the oven and it burned for a good 10 minutes until it stopped
EDIT: oh and if ur using the stock oil lines, looks like you are, your going to need the msp crank girdle, or our going to need to tap your stock one if u want to use the stock oil drain
most people just take an aftermarket one and drain to the oil pan
is this the oil what your turbo looks like?
![]()
the part with the silver heat wrap on it is the stock oil drain, if u take off your stock exhaust parts, or header idk what u have, ull see that there is nowhere for that to hook up to
ok so from the looks of it, the dude u bought the turbo from just straight cut the oil drain hose lol so your going to have to have a stainless,
and im not sure what you were asking about the p5 header and the msp but thats the egr that screws onto the p5 header lol a turbo is actually a really easy concept once u get how it works and were everything goes
edit: saw your response and thats good that u dont have oil and stuff all over your turbo, just tighten the oil lines maybe add some thread locker and you'll be set
