its going to be quiet with the factory air box on and running in recirc. if you were to run vta or install an intake you would hear it more.

cool because with vta it was really really loud, with factory air box then i did recirc with factory airbox...real pita btw specially without the allen bolts haha. and its sounds factory.

yea cobb is taking freaking forever. forever is an understatement

that looks great! VTA is sexy for sound wise, how did the car run in VTA with that valve? I tried runnign my Greddy Type-S vta and it sounded sexy but the car ran like ******* crap

Would some of you guys kindly explain the difference between VTA and recirc?
I just orderd a Forge BPV and i keep hearing about the two. When I install it next week. I want to make sure I know the difference between the two. FOr all I know maybe the Forge only runs in one mode.

lol i only had it for a sec it threw a light but i think cuz it didnt come with the vta cap. i used a 1.5 liter cap and pluged it didnt have a clame for the other side either so i had to buy the smallest one and just clamp.. no lights now ... damn buying stuff used doesnt come with anything u need -_- dont have allen bolts either so tightening the bolts sucked too!

your forge will come with a neck/tube sticking out the side thats what you plug your stock recirculation tube onto (the larger of the tube). its what allows the car to read the air that blows out and adjust fuel. You can plug it in and thats means "recirculated" and not plugging the tube in is VTA or "vent to atmosphere". You will most likely LOVE the loudness of venting it as the air escapes into the air and is louder, recirculating it muffles it as the air is going into a tube and will not be as loud.

this is when it is VTA, and the neck is left vented and the black hose is not over the edge. MUCH better sound but the car will throw a CEL most likely and run like absolute hell unless its tuned to run this way:

I bet it threw a cel mang. Mine did that as well within a few minutes. After I recirculated it the light went off after driving around for like 30 miles

So running it in recirc mode is whats best for the car I take it? Since I'm reading the other posts in this thread and running it in VTA might cause CEL's?
BTW Thanks for that write up it really helped me out a lot. I'm still learning this turbo thing.

yeah recirculating will be the best. When you look at the stock bpv and your forge and are installing you'll know exactly what to do as far as connections and all of that. VTA siounds great but it can and most likely will cause CEL and idle/stalling issues as well as rough driving and poor mpg conditions. Also the car is not reading that recirculated air and compensating the fuel so it actually has been known to spit fuel at the catalytic converters which can cause them to become damaged, and those arent cheap to replace by any means. You'll see what I mean when you hook yours up.

I've already ordered the Forge BPV and i'm getting ready to buy a Fujita CAI. All reviews seem to be a go on it. plus who knows when Cobb will get more SRI's in.
