Hey my hks turbo timer isnt counting down. I installed everything correctly (i think) and it powers on but wont count down.

I have the red wire connected to the constant

blue wire connected to acc

and green connected to ing

Can anyone help????

if the e-brake isn't connected (grounded) it'll cut off.
It's a security feature...
*engine running when the car's parked*
*someone hops in the car to take off*
*drops e-brake*

*engine cuts off*

I don't got mine connected to the ebrake. Mine works perfect. I didn't feel like messing with the wires back there and time was a issue at the time of the install. I don't know why it isn't working right. So I don't think it's the ebrake

is it ground?
do you have 4 or 5 wires for the timer?
even if the ebrake wire is not connected to the ebrake, it needs to be ground.

at this point, you will have two grounds...

interesting...haven't seen the rpm wire...
make sure they're all hooked up. most timers won't work unless all of the wires are connected

so it half way works now hahahahaha

It powers on and counts down but it doesnt keep the motor running.... any ideas? switched wires?

the car stays ON though =/ so like the radio will still play but the motor doesnt stay running....

if your tt came with directions it will most likely say to hook to the e-brake or if not using it them ground it. You really should use the e-brake wire tho,m its such an easy wire to tap, right on the back of the e-brake. ACTUALLY if you just take out the center console dual cupholder piece you can get to the wire and use one of those crimpers. super easy dude.

Is this the HKS Type 1? I had that before on my evo, and want it on this. Did you connect the rpm wire? Also, can you lock your doors with the remote during countdown?

i didnt connect the rpm wire and no you can not lock the doors on count down. I also did connect the ebrake line =]

I guess that was a issue with a couple of people installing their turbo timer was the doors not locking. I was worried about that When I installed mine. But it all worked on the first try

You can cut the switched power on wire to the keyless entry box, then you can use the remote w/e.
I don't know which wire it is on the 3 but a multimeter will tell you.
