MS6 235 tires/225 tires

Hi Everybody

Has anyone tried 235/45 tires on stock wheels realtime on the road?
Has anyone tried 225/45 tires on stock wheels realtime on the road?
Rolled or unrolled fenders?
Especially the 235's on the road experience...

I'm considering Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's, stiff sidewall, good wear rating, great reviews by everyone.
I'd like to keep the stock wheel but the 235's look like they'll be more comfortable on a wider rim.
Got to keep the tires happy.
I had 22k on the Potenza's and had no complaints other than I'd like to get 35k out of a set of tires.
I have Pirelli PZERO NERO's 18" 215/45 M+S on the car now but the sidewall is not as stiff as the Potenza. Bummer...
If I missed a post that covers "on the road" experiences by end-users, please point the madboy to it.

I have 225-40's on stock rims now they are fine handles really well even in hard cornering. I would say that they are definitely the limit on 7inch rims though.
If you get 8inch rims with 235's you should be ok that's what I'm about to do.But i'm lowered too on H&R's I'm thinking with 235s im gonna need to roll the fenders and its still gonna be tight under load

I'k looking at the rotas either the hyperblack P1's or the royal bronze tarmac 3.... the ones I want but sure about the bronze on my black cherry...I'm getting mixed opinions on them. The tires I'm running now are 225/40 Nitto neo gens on stock rims, very good tire IMO wet or dry and there only like $110 each. When I get rims I'll might go with the same tire in 235/40 also considering falken Azenis 615

I've got the Nitto Neo Gens in the same size on the MS6 and they are great. I also have them on my MSP.

It is time for tires on mine as well but I am not liking the Kumho SPT's wearing so quickly. But I am gonna try a wider tire since the 215 is so hard to find. Has anyone run the new Falken Azenis 615's? I have had much success with the old Azenis sports and loved the price on them. But what about wear and are they still really loud like they used to be? I am getting 225/45/18 if they make them....

update: they are rubbing on hard cornering, will be rolling the rear fenders this week and I am planning on installing some K-Sport coilovers also, so I should have no other fitment issues.

I had 225/45 Goodyear Eagle F1 all-seasons and had no problems. I just recently put the stock Potenzas back on, and I am very disappointed in them. The Goodyears handled much better. I can't take corners with the Potenza's like I cound with the F1's. I will be switching back to them in the fall for the winter.

Yeah I used the F1's for the last half of winter this year and they were good. I will probably get them again for this year. As for the tail wagging with the F1's I would have to disagree. I am finding that I have to take corners about 5 mph slower with the Bridgestone's than the Goodyear's.

Great info, I had ordered some 235/40's to put on 18x7.5 rims. I can't seem to find any OEM RX8 18x8 wheels in silver at a decent price.

Mine are currently unrolled on an '06 6i. 235/40 x 18x7.5 x 45mm

my fenders are rolled.
what rubbs: (front) plastic wheel well liner on large dips or bumps. (rear) felt-like material in the wheel wells on large dips and bumps.

the car rides smooth and quiet. i love it.

Ok I got my 225/45/18 Kuhmo Ecsta SPT tires on my stock rims last week. I installed them myself and love them! The car should have been sold this way! Much better! I had the same tires but in the stock size and felt that they were too narrow but did stick very well. These stick just the same but since they are just a little wider I don't feel the body roll that I did before. And it helps that I got them for only $111 each!!! Not gonna get anything nearly this good for that price!
