i need to know how many of you guys are dealing with backfiring in your ms3,how often are you backfiring and if theres anything that i can do to minimixe it, its getting to a point that i cant stand it anymore. i know im running rich but man i need to get rid of this s***.

do you have a BOV running VTA? there really is no way to stop it unless you tune the car a lean it out. i got the occasional backfire when i was completly stock.

i have turbo xs rp and corksport dp along with mazda cbe, and greedy bov vta

i think the greddy vta is the cause of your problem
try and get something to run in recir and see if that solves the problem
or if you want i might be able to loan you my forge

I have no idea why people without a way to tune put on a VTA then ask why they have problems with backfireing and other issue. VTA is a NO GO on a BOV car unless you can tune for it's use.

Stop trying to be ghetto or live with the results if you just have too go Whoosh!

what makes you think i wanted to go ghetto, the only reason i went with greddy bov was becaue when i purchased the fmic from corksport the flange it came with was fit for a greddy bov, i really dont give a s*** if it goes whoosh or not. maybe now you have an idea why people ask smart ass.

dude chill out a bit. the OP odviously didnt know this was such and issue to run VTA. And if people wanna run VTA thats there buisness, no reason to critsize and start name calling.

And to the OP yes running VTA and having your exhaust will cause alot more backfires because of the open exhaust. I would reccomend the forge or HKS in recirc.

LOL - Sorry man, typically people know that the BOV will not work on our cars before they buy one then buy it anyway. Not sure why you would buy a FMIC that didn't support Recirc and only supported VTA but that is a moot point.

You will not be able to install a Recirc BPV on your system unless you install a Nipple to support it. There is a MS6 that installed the nipple somewhere on the forums so maybe you could find him and ask what to do.

Last resort maybe CS will sell you the flange to support a stock BPV and then you can get any stock BPV replacement or turn yours into a Recirc vice VTA.

Like I said above, most people on this forum who go VTA know what they purchased and did it to get the really cool Whoosh. IE Wanna be Ghetto as there is no other reason to go VTA in this car. The car runs like crap in VTA as it was not designed for VTA, so if you go VTA and know this, you went VTA for the Whoosh!

I was mistaken in this case as I assumed he did as well. I would also think that before someone goes out and buys a FMIC they would do a little research first. A simple search and 5m of reading about VTA on our cars would have saved a lot of frustration on the OPs part. There are a TON of posts on how our car does not like VTA and backfires and stutters due to it.

Anyway, people learn from their mistakes. I learned not to assume people from Florida are all Ghetto and I hope the OP learned to do a bit more research before they buy something.

Also, he will not be able to switch out to a BPV as his CS FMIC does not support Recirc. He will have to do as I suggested above to fix his issue.

I thought CS did something with it so it could be run with recirc?
