Help! Body Damage/Accident

:
Mazda CX-7 FWD
I have an '07 CX-7 on lease, it was squashed against a barrier, so the left side (driver's) is damaged from front fender to rear quarter panel. Other insurance should be paying for the damage. The repair shop will replace w/ OEM Mazda replacement parts, i.e. new fenders, wheels, doors. bumpers. Now, when I go to return the car, what should I be concerned about? It's a lease.

It's a pain, but recommend you read the fine-print in your lease. And give the dealership a call. They'll tell you what to expect.

ive never leased, but i can't imagine that they would give you too much grief for something that wasn't even your fault. thats the point of having insurance. but yeah, read your lease and talk to the dealer and you should be fine.

yea it depends on your lease agreement.. because depending on how good you are with that dealership they might not care as long as you get the car repaired, and some dealerships might make it a hassle for you...

The value of the returned car is now severely reduced. Your lease may cause you to pay the difference.

Why I never lease. You need to return a car in as new shape to avoid penalties.

I wish you the best of luck.

Well, they are replacing with new OEM parts. They are not repairing or painting anything. I hope that helps.

well it depends on how a prick the dealer is too.. because my gf returned her honda civic.. and there was a dent on the side door.. and when she returned it.. they didnt say anything or charged us extra for it..

I know in Pa, it's illegal to take depriciation on a vehicle because it's been repaired (unless of course the repairs are poor in quality). As long as you get it repaired, you shouldn't have any issues.
