Power please...help..

Do you mean you have 2.5k to spend on your car and are asking for recommendations on what mods to get?

Power mods I would go with would be:
-Tranny mount ($99)
-Intake ($170-$250)
-TMIC or FMIC ($500-$1K)
-BPV ($150-$300)
-TBE ($650-$1K)

Depending on how expensive you go on parts, you'll have money left over for a manifold or a re-worked K04 turbo...maybe both...

Good luck, they are not in any particular order...

CAI, CBE, shifter bushings, oh, almost forgot COBB AP (due to release in 7 - 10 days)!
That should round out to just about the $2500 and be a safe, but very effective power increase.(2thumbs)

Turbo manifold...........$450
Downpipe (corksport)....300
FMIC (corksport)........1100...(slick install that includes a new intake)
Cobb springs...............260...(you need to put that power to the ground)
Trans mount upgrade....100...(same reason as springs)
Boost gauge.................80...(Gotta know what your turbo is doing)

Total......................$2290

This assumes you will be doing your own work and leaves a couple hundred for incidentals like gaskets and hoses.

I have some advice on what NOT to get:

1. corksport front mount: MAF housing too large... causing all kinds of mixture problems. they say they're going to get it worked out, but who knows. at least wait until they get that sorted out before you look at it. other than that, it's a nice kit.

2. PG manifold: first batch is having fitting issued related with all top mount intercoolers. (not that I am heeding my own advice, as I have one sitting in my living room waiting for a corksport downpipe and then going on the ride). Ken assures me the second batch will not have these issues, but I would wait and see.

3. I dunno I guess I am done.

irl here is what I would do, and in this order
1. boost gauge: it's fun to watch the needle and once you start tuning, you do need to know what your boost is doing.
2. dashhawk: probably going to get one of these very soon. it's nice to be able to log information and see exactly what your ECU is seeing.
3. Motor mount: as you learn to drive this car more aggressively, the stock mount becomes an issue. I was whacking my engine against something on hard shifts even with no mods. with more power, it really does become an issue, along with wheel hop etc.
4. Intake: the stock one sucks. anything is an improvement, just do your research on the MAF housing. it needs to be the same size as the stock one, or you're going to have problems until you get something to tune with.
5. intercooler: again, anything is an improvement, and you need to be thinking about front mount vs top mount when you select your intake, because sometimes you run into problems...

just read around and find what you think will work best for you. there is a lot of good information around if you look.

thank god for the search button..lol..

seriously though, thanks for the replies..i have looked into everything flrom the intake - ems - fmic vs tmic - tbe - bpv/bov and the only thing i have noticed is personal pref. to choice vs the power output. i know already, from posting pics of my car with the suspension/rim combo i went with had mixed emotions..lol...i tend to buy things for the value/performance factor vs commonality or flava of the month part. But, i have pretty much narrowed it down to a couple different set ups....given , my location because theres only 2 dynos on this island and not one good tuner? that would be able to tweak much. That is why IF I WAS to go witha ems system, it would be basic...such as the exede. I just dont like the idea of cutting up my ecu. anyway heres what i have come up with...

Turbo XS TBE - Corksport TBE
Synapse - HKS BPV (recirc)
Begi - Turbo XS FMIC
Turbo XS - HKS Intake
ATP Inlet worth it?
Dog Bone Poly MM (In cart)
TWM Short Shifter+Bushings(In cart)

So far thats pretty much it, thanks to pg, im able to get almost all the parts through them minus the TurboXS stuff...which leads me to my final thought or question. If i do decide to go with the TXS stuff, TBE an FMIC, etc, im just goin to get the stg 3 on there website, and toss the Synapse bpv on there, which is almost what im thinking of getting. Now to the question, being im goin to be running tbe and fmic, ive heard of guys boost cutting/fuel cutting watever when doin these, now do i have to have ems or map clamp if im only running bolt on mods, not up the boost via bc ? do i need a new cdfp with this? the only reason is because being that most of the guys i have search that have problems live in 50 or below temps, when the temps stay the same here ...70+ lol...all year...so..sorry for such a long M>F post...hope i can get some help cause the mod bug is itching an the girl comes home in acouple days lol...so i want to get this done...thanks again guys

Here is what I would pick, from your list:
Corksport TBE - personal preference
Synapse - again personal preference. it looks like a laser gun!!!
Turbo XS FMIC - you'll run into performance limitations with the begi setup. it has a smaller core, and smaller piping. I was seriously considering doing it before I found that out.
Turbo XS intake - why not pair the intake and the intercooler? makes sense to me.
ATP Inlet worth it? - tough to say. I am pretty sure you will need to relocate your ecu if you do the inlet, and I'm not 100% sure on this, but a lot of the front mounts come with tubing all the way to the turbo. it would be something to check out.
Dog Bone Poly MM (In cart) I already have the SU mount and am thinking about switching to this one. that should tell you something.
TWM Short Shifter+Bushings(In cart) - as far as feel and driving experience, one of the best upgrades on any car. I am satisfied with the current setup, so I'm not worried about it. personal preference.

as far as fuel cut, I couldn't tell ya. people are saying they hit fuel cut with MY mods, and I don't think I've ever experienced it. with all of the breathing mods you're thinking about doing, it might very well become an issue. I'd do all that, with a reserve of cash in the bank just in case you discover you need to upgrade your current pump. you might want to take it in for the reflash before you do any of this work, as it is supposed to help a bit with the fuel situation.

ems will be tricky. I am waiting for the AP to come out, and a bunch of band waggoners to put it on their cars and see what people think. some people are going to tell you it makes your doors turn into wings and you can hit mach 3, and some people are going to say it doesn't do anything. somewhere in the middle will be the truth, but I still am a fan of reflashing rather than piggybacking.

just my 7 cents.

TMIC
CAI / CBE
AP
BPV
MM
Shifter bushings / SS

I think this is a good solid base. Then if you wanted to do more you could get the CDFP, DP/MP, suspension.

I'm still warry about the AP. it's a lot of money to drop on something that hasn't been proven yet.

Just wait till it gets out there...and see what people have to say about it.
No sense in being the Guinea Pig...for something that might not be worth all the hype.

I am going to buy if it the hype pans out but only after they make it work with the MS CAI.

exactly. there are enough people who will get it just to get it that the rest of us can sit around and see what it's doing for people and then make our minds up.
