Wonder why your engine keeps blowing up?

Im going in today at about 130pm to have this service done. I get the rough idle when my car is hot and i also lose power when its hot. Ill let you guys know. One thing i didnt like is "It will take about 3 hours to finish the flash". Thats what they said. Little do they know, i have my PSP with me and some movies ;-)
 
3 hours? It's a 5 minute process. I did it myself when the speed6 original powerloss reflash came out.

The only reason it would take 3 hours, is if they're really behind on updates.
 
this sux my car doesnt even have 10,000 miles and its been in the service 4 times, and one of the issues is still not solved, and now this. I love the car but I hate taking it to the dealer all the time.

OMGROLF cmon.. Know your facts first.

I went in today and holyshitdamn the reflash helps SOOO much, but it was still trouble some. New pump will be here Saturday.. I guess I am nobody. ;) (breakn)
 
My dealership says that if they can't reproduce the issue they will not work on the car. I have felt this hesitation in cold temps when I hit the gas...like it shudders before delivering the power. I don't see how I will be able to reproduce it though...it's happened only a couple times. Are you guys able to get the dealer to do this even without them re-creating the issue?

My dealer said the same about "re-creating" the issue but I told them this was bulls*** and I want my mother ****** reflash. I have an appointment on the 19th to get my extra ponies back (breakn)

Sub 14's here I come!
 
just talked to my dealer here adn he knew exactly what i was talking about. I described the problems i was having and he instantly knew what was wrong. He said that mazda just released a bulletin and described it to a "t". car goes in on tuesday!
 
If your car is "modded" is it still covered?

I might have to throw a wrench at mine before I go..
 
I went and all they did was reflash my ECU. No fuel pump swap or anything like that. I never had the hesitation but i did have the idle and loss of power when it was hot, but not bad if any at all.
 
Mine was "modded" with a Cobb intake and boost gauge and i didnt have any problems. Im loving the new power till redline update :-)
 
^ I call BS.... Butt dynos ftl

Get a dashhawk and datalog it, or get some dyno time in to prove the power curve holds til redline. Otherwise its the usual butt dyno crap almost everyone on here spews.
 
Hmm, my car completely falls into the vin & date range. I will make an appointment asap, as I definitely have a random issue of low power when I've been driving it for awhile. I just assumed it was heat soak of some sort.
 
hopefully this week for me. my car has been stuttering like a mofo and definitely a rough idle and loss of power... so hopefully this fixes it..

and serialtoon, are you joking with us?
