k-sport install questiosn

hi
I got a set of K-sport coilovers and they look great.
This is my first set of coilovers and I noticed that the upright mount is adjustable. I didnt know it was, as this is my first set of coilovers.

Do I adjust this so that the total shock length is the same as stock? Or is this for height adjustment?
I always thought that you adjusted the spring perch to adjust height but maybe im wrong?

please chime in and let me know.

the spring perch is adjusted to preload the springs. don't mess with that unless you know what you are doing. i would adjust the spring perch so that the springs are just seated. that way, when the suspension goes to full droop, the springs stay seated.

the lower mount adjustment is for ride height.

why the hell would you want to pre-load the springs!? Generally, you adjust the shock height (strut, whatever) so that you get as low as you want without sacrificing strut travel. I've got minimal experience with the k-sports (fortunately...) so that's the best I can give you.

spring preload will have an affect on suspension compression.

the ksports have adjustment for strut length and spring preload, so you have to take that into account.

and, if you don't know what you are doing, coil-overs are a poor upgrade.
