MazdaSpeed3 Key & Fob

From what I have seen, the Speeds come with the normal key and fob as a set. But I have also seen a keyfob with flip out key. Is that just for Canada?

I have found this website that sells what I would be interested in, http://www.keylessride.com/order/quote.asp?lbfix=yes&make=Mazda&remoteyear=2008&model=3&frid=93F6816C or is it already available like that from Mazda?

There have been MANY threads about this subject. I suggest you search the topic and just for reference, this is the marketplace where members sell to each other.

IIRC, this is not just a matter of programming a flip key with MS3 information and you should probably forget the idea.

Sorry, I did search the topic and came up with info about the Mazda3. Just thought I would give it a try.

To summarize however..... There are flip keys from other mazda models that work on '04-'06 US Mz3's, but in '07 Mazda changed the Keyless Entry Unit on the 3 and currently there aren't any flip remotes that can be programmed to unlock the doors. The key portion will work just fine, but the remote portion won't. Some Canadian 3's still have flip keys (even '07+) however their remotes are also not compatible with the US '07+ KEU. Someone even tried replacing the US KEU with the Canadian one but that didn't work either.
