Baby on board

who's got one plastered on the back of their M5? I know many of us here hauls kids.. what are your thoughts about that sign? do you drive safer near a vehicle that has one?

on a side note: Is the Mazda 5 liftgate not metal? the magnetic baby on board sign doesnt stick to it. it does stick however on the corners .

My wife demanded one for hers, it has suction cups so it goes in the very bottom corner of the backlite. I am dissapointed I cant put my university of kentucky magnetic logo on the back so its on the rear passenger side quarter panel as Im always in the passing lane and thats the only way it can be seen.

In case the magnet doesn't work, some bumper stickers can do:

:D

I personally don't like 'em because IMO it's the obvious sign of a newbie parent... don't want that stigma. Don't think it makes a difference anyway, besides a lot of people that have them drive like a$$holes anyway. I guess they're harmless, just not worth the ding in the Mazda5-coolness-factor for me.

The only window sun visors that Babies-R-Us carried had "Baby On Board" printed on the outside, so I went to target and got an "Eddie Bauer" 2 pack for $5 (thumb)

I do rather enjoy... (lol2)

No Baby-On-Board sign. I don't like them at all. On a somewhat side note, we had a hard time finding a window screen due to the window size. We ended up with the First Years brand back window shade and added a couple suctions cups to the bottom to hold it in and it's a perfect fit for the window. Best of all, it was only about $6. I can do pix if anyone is interested.

The back hatch is "composite" (aka plastic). I suppose it's much better on shocks, but is definately better to lift! Also, parents in a 5 should invest in the bumper plate piece. I finally got ours on before our small vacation this weekend and it was much needed.

+1. I started with the window roller shades (no baby-on board print, but I think the shade says it all), but some time ago my guy started to try to look out the window so I just got the Eddie Bauer film, that has worked so far

To keep on topic, I also found this bumper sticker:

OK OK, no more sticker jokes, promise (deadhorse

I don't drive any differently around vehicles that have a 'Baby On Board' sign. IMO, a human life is a human life. If anybody actually does drive safer because they see that sign, then they really need to wake up, and drive that same way all of the time.

I don't have the baby on board sign, but my last car had one of those christian fish things from the previous owner. I noticed I would have second thoughts before doing something stupid because I was sporting the fish...but people still sported me the finger....
