What can the mazda take?

has anyone ever encountered...on the track, legally of course (evil)....a turboed rsx type s? if so, please tell us the story...:) .....and possibly if anyone else has vs what question , ask it here?

Somehow I doubt that.

you obviously dont know the K-series that well, head gasket and a turbo kit and that motor will do almost 400-500whp depending on tune. We're both in south florida you should kno that the boys down here dont play... go to sonic on a monday night

it depends if the ms3 has a bolton gt3071r.... and it depends on the size of the turbo/supercharger on the rsx.

that changes the story and you sir dont count (drive)

Well I am not a moron that like to waste gas for a damn burger.

im guessing you never been? couple hundred cars and the sonic's owner supports the meet and alot of racing afterwards. you sir dont know what your missing. go check out the SFR pics, there is a thread EVERY monday of people checking in to go. alot of folks from down south caravan up. its only 30mins, i kno people that have drive alot worse for meets.

To be honest, once I get my car back I'm selling it. I think I am pretty much done with speed. Time to just cruise my man. I am getting to old for this and have to much to do. Time for luxury.

im struggling with the same decision dude and its not easy. i've had boost in my blood since ive been 12 and its really hard for me to drive a slow car but im longing for some refinement but its hard to get the best of both worlds without spending a s*** load of money so i just dont kno.

Settle on the fact that i was going to pick up a skyline b4 the end of the year as my tru toy but on the flip side i dont see myself in a luxury car but i want one. ah! im getting a headace again

turbo K series motors can be very fast. stg 1 comptech supercharger civic si's can run 12 flat @ 100 in the 1/4.

it's impossible to say what would happen because it would depend on the car, it's equipment and state of tune.

Having owned an Integra, and being very familiar with the RSX and Honda community in general, I would tell you that an RSX with FI (supercharged or turbocharged), is going to be scary fast.

The RSX is about 2800lbs so it has an advantage right there. Plenty of guys have pretty mild setups with the Comptech supercharger and can walk all over Evos and M3s. Just load up YouTube.

well judging that we dont have an effective tuning solution and i've seen several turbo rsx's doing 400+whp, on the topic... we'd need a big turbo upgrade plus tuning to keep up.

Even a non-turbo bolt-on RSX-S will do 13's with a good tune.

As far as what the Mazda can walk stock-for-stock, it's all dependent on the driver.

Are you kidding?? You think a stock RSX-S will be a challenge for a MS3?

I'm pretty sure a stock RSX-S will run a 14.6 at best, not even close to a MS3
To knock off .6 tenths the RSX-S would need a good bit of work / parts without a SC.

Granted my best is only 14.37@99.81 the car is capable of running high 13's with just intake

well stock its crap but dependin on the turbo you drop in it i think they are pretty quick. thanks for all the replies guys

I didn't say stock.

With normal bolt-ons (I/H/E) and K-Pro (with a good tune), an RSX-S will run 13's.
