it depends on the area you live... in nothern VA area.. it starts around $230 and go up to $300.. i got mine done at $240 (full metalized flim)
HID rocks..(band2) ^^ (much nicer compare to stock halogen)
your ipod job looks professional..(bowdown)
Well ^^, i am not a tint expert but here is my advice based on what i've learned recenly.
There are 3-4 types of flims you can choose from
1. Tradition tinting flim (regular flim that has good darkness but will fade its color throughout the time) NOT recommanded !!
2. half metalized flim (flim fortified with metal which has good darkness and will last good period of time) recommanded
3. Full metalized flim (flim fully fortified with metal which has better lasting than half metalized but "might interfere with factory GPS) recommanded
4. Carbon/seramic flim (most expensive flim with great darkness and lasting) recommanded.
I went with full metalized flim because of its good quality and durability and of course good price (cheaper than carbon flim) but i been told, compare to regular flim full metalized flim is bit "lighter" about 2-3% if that matter to you
i am sure there are different types of color/reflection but that is up to you.. i just like black look (factoryish) (usa)

1) Are there any special wiring needed?
2) I heard that the trade off is no DRL but the Auto light feature still works. Is that right?
3) Where did you mount the ballasts? I would be nice if you can upload some photos for that.

1. HID kit comes with harness that connects to facotry headlight plug
(however, using relay harness to set up an independent circuit for HID is recommanded)
2. You must either disable the DRL or DRL current will mess up the ballasters evertually (auto light off should still function)

I did not have to..
US models don't have DRLs... it is "direct plug and play" for HID kits.
I think there is thread about disabling DRL somewhere here.. or someplace else i can't recall where (uhm)...
also if you use relay harness,, you "might" bypass DRL but i am not 100% sure on this ..(uhm)
which headlight (Low beam or High beam) come on for DRLs ?

tint looks good. Funny, I pchopped my Mazda5 with a drop, rims, and tint today...

Hi all, just wanted to show off my Mazda5 as well. The only thing missing here is a moonroof deflector, which is coming soon.
20% back and 35% front tint (the front is darker that I expected, I actually wanted 45-50%, but oh well, it still looks nice)
