Soooo who wants to swap a tranny this weekend?

I'll have you know, I've modeled for some pretty high end hand commercials. Remember that one commercial about Pepsi... all me there homeboy.

Doesn't matter. I'm low class and I love RC Cola best. (that's being serious too, I love RC) In either case, when and where is this going. Keep me posted.

LOL you probably like "Dr. Wham" too HAHA

EDITED because I found the pic on my cell phone. That's right: It says "Crazy Delicious!"

Acutally... yes. When I went down to Columbus, I drank it and liked it. RC Cola and a MoonPie. I wore that shirt the first time bowling. On the front it says "Southern Born..." on the back it says, "Southern Fed" with a pic of an RC and a MoonPie.

hey everybody the best kevin smith movie ever is on right now...i hope everybody is watching the timeless classic that is jersey girl lol

I think some folks on here are really surpressing alot of pent up sexual frustrating emotions. That's really not healthy. Michael, if I were you, I'd be cautious to who you allow to "touch" you car. Just my advice.

Yeah...about that...I'll get you some gas money when I dig myself out of this blown diff-induced financial hole I'm about to be in.

What led you to the conclusion of popped diff?

(Sorry Dale, you get thread jacked yO!)

I guess one good thing is that I have two new axles, so I'll be on a pretty fresh drivetrain. If I had the money, I'd do a new clutch while it was all apart. I need another car so I can do what I want to my s*** lol.

Anyone got a lonely 500$ car sitting around?

figured i would move this back to your thread....

anyway what leads me to believe its the diff...and more specifically the spider gears in the diff is that like you said the speedo moves when the car is in gear also the clicking gets louder and faster with the lower gear you put it in. Now if you had an axle that died at the CV joint or other such place and the speedo was in fact moving that means the axle was spinning some where, which neither of them are. The only other possibility is ALL the splines stripped off the end of the axle but due to your description of the impending doom of it clicking around turns and the highly highly unlikeliness of that ever happening my diagnosis leads me to believe the spider gears or something to do with the spider gears in the diff failed

ohh and yes we have an 87 civic in the back yard for sale has a brand new clutch in it too

Hmm...I may be thinking about that...

I'm going to try to source a tranny by the end of this week, but if that fails, I'll prolly be buying the scrivic as an emergency ride to school lol.
