hks ssqv people please help!!!!

Where is a good place to buy the a weld on flange for my hks, and average pricing to get it done. My piping is aluminum. Also were is the best place to weld it on my piping. I was goin to weld it on the hot pipe right after the turbo, if you refer back to the pics, basically right in front of were is says mazdaspeed. Then relocate my maf pretty much directly under where it is now on the cold pipe. Suggestions and help.

I got the flange a local racing shop, make sure that u let them now that you have aluminum piping so they give you an aluminum flange, mines was welded at a local shop I believe I paid 35-45$ and 25$ for a metal flange

So it was like 25 to get it welded, my only issue with welding it on the cold pipe, is the spacing that i have, i have a extra dual injector, and i want to relocate my maf to the cold pipe then put the hks ssqv on there, running out of space, how far away does the bov have to be from the maf, so that it doesn't affect one another

well as you can see my bov isnt anywere near close to the maf so I really dont think it matters

maf is over to the left, the piping that you see is were i plan to put the maf, but right were the red coupler is , is were i would put the bov, no welding needed unless i plan to put the bov over to the hot pipe. I was told like 6inchs from the maf, but i think i saw someone who ran the bov and maf right next to each other. So not sure what to go by.

all that work just to kill the turkey, but trust me its worth it.. I love the way mines sounds, all sswooosshhh i wish i could upload my drive by to show you

Speaking of vids and turkey, I will be temporarily running no BOV or BPV at all until I can make it up to the welder. With the aluminum pipes I am sure that it will be extra turktastic, haha. I will take a vid or two of it I am sure.

Oh and just upload your vid to youtube or streetfire or somewhere and then link here... doesn't have to be uploaded here.

bump from the past

I installed my SSQV today and took it for a test drive, looks like its working well but i noticed if I put in the clutch and let the RPM's drop the car nearly stalls on me. Before I go searching for vac leaks I just wanted to make sure that there are people that run the non adjustable SSQV without a problem with the dual setup

This is a very common problem with mass airflow cars. I would venture to say your car is just fine.

Mine does the same thing...although it did it before I put on the HKS ssqv v2. I just adjusted my driving. I am an ASE certified tech and i have ran this across several ASE Master Techs and it seems to be the 8th wonder of the world.

I seemed to have made it a little better, my line was too long so I shortened it up, now it will only do it if I rev the engine while its idling...its still 1000x better than the turkey....and the sound (cool)
