I had to, he was making the part for me.
That's possible, but not returning my calls for over a week is completely unacceptable. I don't even put up with that sh** from my friends, and would never do that to anyone who is trying to get ahold of me.
I certainly would never break into someone's house over something like this, and since he won't answer me, what else can I do? Ya know?

I just talked to Kelly about starting over on them at his shop, so that's what we are going to do. I don't really have any other choice here.
So, we are back to an unknown ETA here folks... sorry, I really wanted this to be done by now, but this really threw a wrench into the operation. It will be at the very earliest next weekend before I have any more progress.
you know whats crazy if he tries to sell the idea to someone esle and profit from it if you know what I am getting at...

im not saying break in im just saying find him and get it back, you shouldnt let someone steal this. look at it like this if you let him have those you are letting him take part of YOUR life you investing into making this product.
I guess you should just blow it off but dam - keep moving forward with
your product just make it better then whats out there....

Ok let me clarify. He made the prototype flanges and still has them. He was going to make the production flanges and get paid for doing so. I would be SHARING the profits from the manifolds with him. He has now dodged me all week, without even answering emails or calls from me, and I no longer feel confident in including him in the process. Since he has shown that he will just bail at the drop of a hat (or whatever is going on), I do not want to give him money up front to make the flanges for the production pieces.
This is his loss, the only thing I am losing is the time that it will take to measure everything up and make a new print. If he doesn't want to make anything from providing flanges for 15-20 manifolds, then that is his choice. I am not going to force the guy to make money. Now there will just be more that will go to Kelly, no skin off my back.

In addition, this is just making it take longer, and that is the frustrating part. Everything was done and ready for welding, and now I have to remake flanges. It is just frustrating because I want to get this thing out there. Everyone here has been super patient and awesome, and I appreciate that. This is still going to happen, it's just going to take longer than I hoped.
Not going into details on the location of the shop, as it is owned by a friend of a friend's and there are innocent people affiliated with it. I don't want to blast anyone here. I also wouldn't call anyone a thief yet, nothing has been stolen from me. I just have yet to receive flanges that were supposed to have been to me a long time ago. I got a text message saying that he was out of town and that the flanges got sent to me before he left. That would put them at my door no later than tuesday since it isn't very far. I'm not holding my breath, but if they show up then awesome. If not, oh well.

Thanks steed, the TB flange is a piece of cake, and I received the proto head flange yesterday. It still needs a lot of work as the injector bungs need to be machined in after the manifold is welded together, but I will hopefully get some work done this weekend on everything.
Welding this one hopefully next week, then it gets road tested on my car for a week, then off to Sander for dyno testing. Sans any revisions (which I am hoping have all been dealt with already), I'd say at the very earliest it will be about a month before I will be able to get any more out to anyone.
