Very interesting. The recall "problem" was for failure to trigger a CEL when it should have been triggered under CA emissions standards (I think). Don't fault BEGI just yet, since the MS-CAI is doing something similar after the emissions recall. Maybe there'll be others of us getting this CEL, too. Maybe we'll see if the lack of an air-straightener is a factor.
I should know better than to blame the BEGi box. I am just frustrated. Is there a way to adapt or make an air-straightener for the aftermarket intakes?
That information is technical because our program is made for techs not DIY'ers. I presented it because I feel that your dealer needs to look at the purge solenoid. Ours is the swirl valve, apparently. Just put the stock stuff on and off you go to the dealer!
I will wait for the CEL to come back on. Like I said before, my car ran fine yesterday after putting the stock air box back on. I didn't drive it today because they were calling for a chance of snow.
I have so much to learn about this car.
