Is there a software that can Monitor boost pressure, rpms, yata yata yata, from the diag port, i dont want to change anything in the ecu, just monitor output data.
You're picturing the first race in Need for Speed with the laptop in the passenger seat, aren't you?
From what I understand, this can be done, but it requires a device to connect to the OBDII port and act as an interface. The laptop would then connect to the device. I don't know for sure which ones can do this, but I bet somebody here does.
lol, no, i am picturing using the nav. screen to display Boost pressure, Coolant temp, O2 sensors etc..
i found this site, http://www.scantool.net/?mode=displaySoftware&os=Windows XP
and i need this adapter.

I have the DynoScan software and OBDII dongle and it is pretty good. The dyno curve function doesn't work very well because of an anomaly in the Mazda RPM reporting, but other than that I really like it. I have no experience with the DashDyno, but it look like it would be good.Rotus8,
I have been working on feature matrix to help me decide between the Dash Hawk, Dashdyno, and scangage. The Dashdyno looks like my early favorite. Do you have any experience with one? I really like the mounting options, GPS compatibility, and removable SD card.

Why use a pc, why not have a paired gauge setup that display a slew of user selected data straight from the OBDII port!?

Well, the DM-200 isn't really out yet. I have made some requests - we'll see.Hey Rotus i know we had a thread going on these type of devices before, but did PLX ever add support for the MS3/6 as promised?
