PG Pump Installed

who all has it so far?
I havent been keeping up with this thread, so I apologize. I'm just wondering.
Also has anybody made gotten a dyno done on a stock car/nearly stock(intake, exhaust) with the upgraded pump?

Im waiting for mine to ship.

I think (palerider) had dyno time sch a few days ago and he was close to stock. He talked about posting data haven't seen it yet though.

pump is still running same psi as stock correct all the additional fuel is returning to the tank?

It will run(psi) what the ECM asks it for depending on how your driving.

From what i understand its actually running higher when commanded because of the increased ability(where the stocker hits a wall and the throttle shuts down.) This is shown in Laloosh's data logs.

I still don't think you can directly compare the speed6 and speed3 when it comes to these mods. I believe the ECU is drastically different in how it deals with things and its not an apples to apples thing.

IMO

who knows whats up with that dyno. Ive always said people look to much into dynos. I remember 5-6 years ago i was bummed when my fully bolted specv hit a whopping 144whp tuned and stock ones were hitting 140-150. Went to the track and trapped 98 mph when stock ones were hitting 90. Hence the reason i think good dynos are hard to find and usless for tuning unless you are on a load dyno with some1 who's been around the block a couple of times.

I would agree solely on the way laloosh's car reacted

dadasracecar is using a different fuel pump. his is a prototype CP-e pump. if i read right, his pump on the standback showed a maximum of 1900psi where ours - as reported by laloosh on his standback- shows 2200psi maximum. his dyno numbers should not be considered wholly representative of how our pump will affect a vehicle. laloosh, mrlilguy, driver311, palerider have all reported much better driving characteristics with our pump. this has not yet been reflected in any kind of dyno results, but we're all working towards that to show what kind of difference its going to make on the dyno. holidays being what they are have been slowing us all down. i'll have more for everyone in the next few days.

Any idea when you will have pumps ready to send out.... trying to be patient

Makes sense now i was looking at the Fuel trims and wondering why the prototype pump, and his stock had the same basic reaction. I guess that was his whole point.

Judging by the dynos though, the fuel pump doesn`t show much improvement,if any:-)Just my oppinion.I think an expert needs to hack the stock MS3 ECU and be able to dial it right with the stand back p&p.They had this problem with the M3 turbo kit from HPF but an engineer from AEM solved it.The stock fuel pump should be good for 300-350whp.With all the bolt ons you are struggeling to see 280whp.

Maybe it's like a flywheel or lightweight wheels. They won't show anything on the dyno, but seem to help otherwise.

I've always said that the dyno is used for tuning, not for finding out how much power you're making. If you want to know if you're making more power than the next guy, go to the track and see who traps higher.

dyno power means nothing, laloosh trapped at 111 mph, that is a very fast car, like 310whp at least if you want to talk numbers.

It's also a different fuel pump. CP-E charges 600 for a glorified boost controller and now a crappy pump (just kidding, but not really).
