it's supposed to. It'll stay on until you crank it. In fact, if it was running and you stall out, it'll show the CEL as well. Doesn't mean you've got any problems. Woody54, I really think they're just old, stored codes that you can clear out, go for a drive, then pass the test if you're not showing a light currently.
put on my tein s techs
got my 30k service for my 03 MP5...
if you plug it in a scanner, it'll show a code if there is one. You have the light when you turn on the car right? Then the bulb's working lol
huh... maybe your light is blown. That'd be the first I hear of that. Isn't the CEL on the right of the cluster? 0.o

left. right side has e-brake light
if it is then that would be interesting news. they didn't have any P5's on the lot to confirm that for me. if someone could let me know the location of the CEL light that would be awesome. is the dash really hard to get in to if i wanted to replace the bulb myself?
Tried to put on the celica clear side markers, but they didn't totally cover the holes, as I did not have the rubber grommet around the edges. Also found out why my passenger side marker wasn't working. The bulb fried and I think the socket burnt up a little bit. Crap.
