What have you done to your P5 today?

try resetting the ECU then trying again in a couple weeks. OBDII takes about a hundred miles or so to go back into ready mode or whatever.

it's supposed to. It'll stay on until you crank it. In fact, if it was running and you stall out, it'll show the CEL as well. Doesn't mean you've got any problems. Woody54, I really think they're just old, stored codes that you can clear out, go for a drive, then pass the test if you're not showing a light currently.

thanks, that's what i was going to do. I took it by the stealership and they actually re-set the codes for me today for free. I'll try the emissions test again soon. My only concern still though is that i may not have the CEL at all. cause even if that bulb was burnt out i would think that it would show up as a code anyway correct?

if you plug it in a scanner, it'll show a code if there is one. You have the light when you turn on the car right? Then the bulb's working lol

wow my hids are sweet, I didnt realize how loud they are when they click on. Or that they take a sec to charge up to full power. So much nicer though.

Just finished putting in some royal purple trans oil, silverstar high beams, and mazdaspeed floormats. Also got my Mazda 6 rear wiper on.

im still trying to figure out why my gas mileage is the suck. just ran 55 miles to a 1/4 tank and i dont get on it, keep it 4 grand or lower

i installed break pads and rotors. the idiots at car quest gave me the wrong rear rotors though, possibly MSP ones? I told them it wasnt the "SPD" model too.

Let's hope i can return them despite them being painted silver already to prevent rust :(

that's the problem is that i don't have it when i turn on the car. every light to the left of the speedo is non-existant

huh... maybe your light is blown. That'd be the first I hear of that. Isn't the CEL on the right of the cluster? 0.o

Tried to put on the celica clear side markers, but they didn't totally cover the holes, as I did not have the rubber grommet around the edges. Also found out why my passenger side marker wasn't working. The bulb fried and I think the socket burnt up a little bit. Crap.

if it is then that would be interesting news. they didn't have any P5's on the lot to confirm that for me. if someone could let me know the location of the CEL light that would be awesome. is the dash really hard to get in to if i wanted to replace the bulb myself?

CEL=bottom left
should be able to see it without the light illuminated LOL.
changing=don't know. But taking out the cluster is simple

I've had mine on a while...they covered the holes for the most part....but I've been thinking about switching back to the stockers
