What have you done to your MSP today?

Oh ok thats cool. You mind sharing how much it ran you? I plan on pulling a junk yard tranny to swap in if need be in the future.

I got mine for pretty cheap.. $112.45.. Another junkyard wanted 400 for a probe trans and one of them wanted 600 for an MSP trans with a busted case which IMO, those are both insane prices..

i wonder if the probe has the same motor mounts as the msp. anyone know? just how close are the motors in these cars?

They're basically the same between the probe and protege.. The front one is the same (at least it looks exactly the same), the rear one Im not sure about since I didnt pay much attention to it, but it looked to be quite close to the same..
The driver side mount was almost the same, but was missing a part that the protege trans has.. And the passenger side was completely different..

I pulled the trans out and left the front mount on just so I can sell the AWR thats on mine..

Im sure that any trans from an FS-DE car will interchange with one another.. At first I was looking for a protege or 626 transmission, but they didnt have any so I went to the next best thing..

The trans mounting points are all the same between the cars since the blocks are all the same.. I mean, it would be kind of stupid for a company(ies) to not make stuff interchangable.. Saves them money from making things slightly different from each other..

multiple random misfire is p0300 and if i remember correctly off the top of my head p0103 is system lean or rich?

correct on the misfire. the code reader said something like MAF or A VAC for the 0103. lean sounds right tho bc i managed to get a glimpse of my wideband while i was trying to get the car off the highway amid the stumbling and it was way lean.

I had the same problem but I found out it was my ignition pack was bad. I changed it out and never had a problem after that.

i got the msp pulling harder =). i opened up my glove box and saw that the line going to the ss afc was kinked got it all the way open again and now it pulls like it used to.

Yesterday I got some BFGoodrich G-Sports in 225/45/17 and so far they're okay. I wish the sidewall was a little more stiffer. Other then that, the tire runs nice and not really that loud actually. All I need to do is get an alignment.

Installed the Exedy Stage 1 clutch, Fidanza 7.5lb flywheel and got the LSD welded. Now I have to wait until spring to break it in.

you not driving much this winter or not at all?

I don't take it out in the winter. One, I don't like driving around with salt all over the place and two, I've only got summer tires on it (Hancook Ventus RS2) so I don't think I would really be able to get it that far. The weather hasn't been to bad around here lately but they're calling for some nasty s*** this weekend so it's "bye-bye" til spring! I'm fortunate enough to have a car for work/winter so it makes it nice not having to drive it all the time.

added my D.G. lip and ft plate...

I joined the CEL club, but its just a bad rear o2 that keeps popping up. The great thing about the ScanGauge is I can clear codes while I drive :)

turboman, is the hose with the casing around it your boost guage? if so do you get a solid reading? i hooked mine up off the intake mani and it bounces like crazy. do u have a mbc or electronic?

yeah thats my boost gauge and it reads perfectly yeah I heard of people doing it from their intake mani but I found this way is better and I had a TurboXS MBC but I took it out cuz of a number of reasons nothing to do with the boost gauge try it that way and you'll find it a lot better also
