What have you done to your MSP today?

go get em and i'll give you back the money for them, i just sorta want everything ready for when the motor comes, i'll give my old tb too
 
ok no problem i will start on it tomorrow or so...it only takes me a day to do it since its already clean and everything
 
wheel bearings and driverside axle...couldnt find any anywhere...so i ended up getting whole new assemblys and had to send the axle out to be machineshop (only problem with it was the threads were all stripped to hell) thanks to my brother just jamming any axle nut on the axle after loosing the stock one and air gunning it down..so i just drove home in her and man shes running good..i wish i didnt owe so much id like to get rid of it..
 
Bought/pulled a trans from a junkyard today.. One step closer to getting rid of it...

seems like an odd combo of statements there.
 
Pulled it out of a ford probe se.. Didnt really care about the miles.. Just needed something to get it drivable with all 6 gears working..

when you get it in.. please give feedback, i'd like to know if it's true the 1st gear is longer and if the trans ratios seem ok all the way.

Oh ok thats cool. You mind sharing how much it ran you? I plan on pulling a junk yard tranny to swap in if need be in the future.

Ditto on that, good to know that the probe tranny will fit. I want to bring a spare tranny to the track next summer just to be safe. The closest dragstrip to me is 3.5 hours so i dont wanna be stranded lol.
 
i wonder if the probe has the same motor mounts as the msp. anyone know? just how close are the motors in these cars?
 
So last night I installed some Tokico HP's (Not MSP) and Tein S-Tech's. After being a in a car with 70k+ on stock struts and Goldlines, the ride is firmer now and handling improved a little. The only thing is I know my tires are at the wear bars, but does that mean it will give me more understeer? I was taking the on-ramps into the highways/freeways and I couldn't really push it that hard and it made me feel uncomfortable. And driving the the road, the car gets this wandering feeling. Any recommendations?

I probably wont be driving it very long with it in, but Ill try my best to let you know..
