What have you done to your P5 today?

Because of changes in the capsule gas chemistry, HIDs shift upspectrum slowly with time. So your 6000K kit will be "hotter" after a year or so. Higher color temp capsules were originally developed as replacements to color match older capsules.

Ah, nice to know. If I do go the HID route I am now considering the 5K kit as I do a lot of night (early morning) driving.

My plan will be to go with 4500K low's, I have a 6000K set for the highs, and I want to order some 3000k shorties for the fogs.

But, it'll take time to collect money. I'd rather some eibach pros.

I'm pretty happy with my Osram Rallye 65s, but if I ever go HID they'll be close to 4000K--that's the brightest and whitest.

Well, actually according to the site where I got mine, the 5000k's were a few hundred lumens brighter than the 4x00k's. I don't know why.

4300k is the brightest. Wich site was that?

5000k is still a lot brighter than halogen. The higher the temp, it will move through out the spectrum but will have less output.

Blue is more stressful to the eyes.

Meh, no HID's for now....ordered a pair of the Osram Silverstar's off of ebay. Hopefully they will last me longer....

Looking good from afar as well. Now it's time to paint the emblems and do the Mazda6 wagon rear wiper conversion! (thumb)

Red shop towels make excellent drawer liners :p

^ ill be doing that soon when i move back into my house. (some of you may remember my garage fire) =D

ball bearing drawers ftw =P

The things they have for organizing sockets are absolutely the greatest invention ever. I'm so glad I won't often have to go hunting in my toolbox squinting to read the stamped numbers on the sockets. I think I used to spend more time doing that than anything. I also picked up a set of the laser etched 1/2" drive sockets from sears tonight. It was great. There was a bolt on the miata's transmission I was working loose that I couldn't even see (had to do it by feel as it was on the very top of the tranny) and I look up, and out of the blackness all I see is the number "17" on the side of the socket. FTMFW!

I am actually quite fond of my silver emblems. Matches the exhaust. As to the wiper, that's def. on my list of mods along with tribute washer nozzles and an MP3 shifter.

Looks like the same tool box that I have, but mine's black.

yeah, they have a black version of that toolbox. It's actually 2 stacked boxes. the 1 on the bottom has casters and I think 5 decently deep drawers (the bottom couple are enormous. That may be where the power tools sleep...), and the top is a 6 drawer deal that sits on top (3 full width, 3 small ones @ the top). Damn thing was on sale too, so I'm really happy w/ that :D

I think that's the one that Luke wants to get Andrew...did it have an additional/optional box that went in the middle?

Yeah, there's another one you can get. What's fun is you'll notice that they stack all 3 in the store, then the fine print notes that it's only the top and bottom pieces included in the price they're advertising lol. Kind of a tool thing you do, but I always try to read the fine print, so that didn't sneak up w/ me. I didn't think I needed the middle part yet, so I just went w/ the 2 piece for the time being. The 3rd can be bought if / when I need it.
