What size tires on 18X8 wheels?

I just picked up a set of RX-8 wheels for my MS3 and was wondering what size tires everyone else is running on 18X8 wheels? The OE 225/45/18 are a little stretched on the wheels, and as I hate the stretch look I'm thinking of getting 235/40/18, but think a 45 series tire might be better.

Opinions please.

If your ms3 is not lowered, maybe you can get away with it. 45 will be too high I think.
Is there a 235/35/18?

AAAaaaa!!! $278 per tire! Good LORD that's a lot of money!

Cars not lowered. Yet. And I read that other thread already but it seems that the people who mentioned their tire size had 235 or 245 and that's it. I was hoping to simply get more people saying what size tires they had so I could get an average. There's no way in hell I'll ever pay $278/tire, I have a hard enough time with $180/tire.

you might be ok with the offset of the RX8 wheel if you are not lowered w/ a 235/40 My 18x8 48mm ET rubs a little but I'm lowered.

I'm running the stock 215/45 tires now but have also had 225/45 tires on as well and they worked fine too.

If you are going to step up to 235's you want a 40 series sidewall, its nearly exact to the stock rolling diameter of the stock tires.
