Hello new to this forum!

ANyway i just installed my magnaflow exhaust on my speed6! SOunds great, runs great but the one problem i had is that now that i am all hooked up my controls on the driver door for the other windows doesnt work!!! MY window will operate but it wont let me roll down all the other! I dont know what wrong.
Anyone else had this problem or can you help me figure out how to fix it?

Thanks Trent

I figured that but it worked fine before i did the exhasut work then when i hooked battery back up and turn car on i couldnt ust the control! IS it possible that there is just fuse blown or something i am just looking for anyone who has a speed6 and might had a window control problem

Two things this could be. First (and not to insult you) but is the lockout button up? Second, any time you disconnect your battery then you have to reset each individual window. Put it down part-way using the door control, then hold it in the up position until you hear a click. The procedure is outlined in your owner's manual.

If this isn't it then I don't know what to tell you.

Yea my wife asked me the same thing about the lockout button. No it wasnt on.... but i didnt know about the second procedure t you have listed there. I will try that when i get home though. Thank you very much for the help!

Window reset

I had that happen to my 2006 MS6 and the dealer went to the window that was affected and held down that window's control down for 10 seconds, then up for 10 seconds. The service guy explained that procedure resets the control on the driver's door. The individual windows have to work using their door's controls to use this. It happened when the individual door window harness was disconnected for other maintenance.

Hope this helps!

Hei.

To reset the control after you disconnect the battery, do as above but no need for 10 seconds. Just take the window down and hold the button until you hear a click, then up and wait for the click and then you should have control back for that window from your driver's seat.

Since installing your exhaust have you noticed the tips melting any portion of the lower bumper where the beauty rings were and how is the inside noise?

if you install it properly, by not tightening anything until the end so you can adjust the pipe/mufflers to sit so the tips are centered, then nope it won't melt. but you should just cut your bumper like i did ;) it looks sexy. also inside noise is awesome, a nice powerful sound but nothing the wife wouldn't mind driving haha ya know.

Review of my magnaflow system

First off I have had no problem with my exhaust melting my bumper at all. I just figure that I must have got it properly in place.

Next I am not really pleased with this system. I have been running it for a few months and just feels like it still not running to full capacity. I like the way it looks but performance wise the pipes should be bigger. Though I did
see a bit of difference in performance not as much as i thought it would though.

I have seen the CPE and Corksport have got some nice systems out now.
I think I might by one of those and get rid of the magnaflow.

Thanks,
Trent

i don't feel like its restricting my motor, and i doubt you would have noticed any bigger gain with a 3" system. the magnaflow setup breathes excellent, thanks to their 'wide open' performance mufflers. i've raced a red speed6 with cp-e turboback exhaust, and the cp-e intake and i won..so it cant be all that bad lol!

the catback wont give you much of a performance gain unless you have a downpipe or testpipe because the downpipe is the big restriction.
