Well, RB springs drop the rear a bit much on the P5. But if you're interested I may have a solution for you: Use RB springs up front for a 3/4" drop, and Tein H-Techs in the back, for about a 1/2" drop. Since Tein H-Tech and RB front springs have the same rate and wind, they are interchangeable. I will use the other half of this mix: Tein up front and RB in the rear.I guess what I really want to know is if there are any springs for the P5 that will drop it 1/2" even around with tokico HP's as the shock of choice?
Nope, I already obtained the springs. RB are slightly used, <15K miles, Teins are new. They'd be $160 shipped to Utah, I'll get proper pics if you're interested. Drop would look like the attached photos: silver P5 has Teins and 195/50s, Yellow has RB and 205/50, both have HPs.expensive solution....hmmmm.....
^A beautiful example of what happens when you use MP3 springs without MP3 struts.
I started this thread to clear up the ambiguity about the differences between MP3/MSP/RB springs: do you have photos or anything more concrete than "AFAIK"? I'd be interested (and surprised) to know for sure if the MP3 springs say "Racing Beat" on them.

Please post your results on the Tanabe springs--I think you're the first on the forum to run them! What kind of struts will you get?
Cool. While you're at it, would you mind taking some measurements like those I put in the first post?
Oh, yeah...NF. Somehow I thought GF. The NFs have the same rate as P5 springs so stock struts will be just fine.As for struts, I am thinking either stock replacements or KYB. I think the Tokico with overdamp the system? What do you think?

That's what they say in general, but if you look at the numbers for the Protege springs, they're the same as the stock rates. 134lb/in front, 106 rear.
