Wow, where did you buy your P5 to get those cool mods?? I'm looking to get some 17" Konig Attain rims when I get mine. What springs does it have? Wolfe Mazda has a yellow P5 with a slick black/yellow leather seating kit in it.
Anyway, your two front windows and the windshield can't have ANY aftermarket tint on it. I got a ticket on Feb. 14 for my tint (35% on the two front windows) and it was $86 not $125. I had 50% originally and got pulled for it within 1 week of having it. I had the 35% for two years and no probs until then (which is a story in itselft. Needless to say I am fighting it).
So go as dark as you want on any window that is behind the drivers shoulder.

Vancouver laws are as follows:
Any tint on the windows behind the drivers shoulders. Any ting on the windows int the front are illegal. You'll get a $89 ticket for a possible towing to anywhere YOU want as long as your car is not on the road. They may also rip your tint.

I have 35% tint all the way around & I live in Vancouver...The Law here says No tint on front windows but I've had mine done from the first day I got my Mazda Prtg5 & knock on wood, so far I havn't had any problems with it!...but its always a chance you have to take!...I think if they catch you it all depands on the cop if he's nice enough he'll give you a warning & you have 15 days to remove it & than you have to take it to the police station & show them that you removed it!....
I got caught yesterday coming down from Big White just outside of Kelowna. They pulled me over in a "random selection" not because I was speeding or driving erratically, but because I have a yellow MSP which is a heat magnet. Not having anything else to bug me about, after walking around the car and doing the obligatory "sniff" test for MJ, the cop noticed my passenger side window was was darker than normal and says, "Why do you only have one window tinted? Roll up this window please". I immediately cursed in my head.
After pleading my case and saying I purchased the car that way (I didn't), she asked if i had been pulled over before because of the tint, I said no, and gave me a notice to remove the tint within 30 days. She also stated that failure to comply will result in up to a $600 fine if caught again as I would be placed on "the list". (pissed)

Tinting Laws....
Since we do window tinting, we know the laws regarding this topic, along with colored lights, underglows etc etc.
The law is very clear about 0 tolerance for the front drivers & passenger windows to be tinted whether 35% or lighter/darker. The reason behind this, is 1) so that your veiw as a driver is not abstructed or diminished in the dark, or rain (2) The local police want to be able to see you clearly through your side mirror, or whilst they are approaching your vehicle. (You may have a gun & shoot them....so it is for their safety)
Installing tint for 13 years now, I have found that people generally are doing more 35% or even 50% on the front windows these days verses 5% years ago. The law is clear, and you take a risk doing it, but if you can be clearly seen, (light shade) you will not be noticed as much.....

No tint at all is allowed on the front windows or windshield almost everywhere in Canada.I have 15% all around and 5% on my windshield that comes down about 12 inches(I live in Alberta).Last time I got pulled over for speeding,the man gave me a two week warning to remove my tint(3 months ago) or they could fine me $115 and or impound my car.They just got about 26 more pigs in Grande Prairie and they are cracking down on stuff like this.I have no plans on removing my tint because it's a stupid law anyway and I'm like 5'4" tall so the sun is always in my eyes and my visors are useless.I told officer cheese ass this but he didn't care and the fact that I was doing 106km/h in a 60km/h zone probably didn't help my case.Just be aware of the laws and be prepared to be hassled about it.
