Z828 Settings

Sub Settings, please help

Ok, I searched on this, don't slam me.

I am trying to get the settings right for the sub on the Z828 head unit. (When it's off you select the sub thing) What do the different letters mean? I use a 12" sub, but what letter? (12A, 12B, 12C, 12D?) I can't find what these things mean.
Also, what are the Q levels?

How do u get into these settings, i've had it for a year and haven't tried messing with it, i do think i remember something like that when i first had it but i just kinda ignored it. I'm actually installing a 12" today so if i did set it to size 10(If even possible) then i think i probably should change it.

found this online
Each band has cut and boost in eight steps, along with selectable center frequencies and Q settings (Q settings available on the lows and mids only). Q is the width of the filter, with a lower number being a wider filter that cuts/boosts more frequencies above and below the center frequency

To get to the sub size settings the stereo has to be off. You hold the upper left hand corner button (forgot what it is) until the settings come up and choose your sub size and speaker settings, but I can't figure out what the a,b,c,d things mean.
As for the Q, does that say a lower number lets through a lower freq. range and filters more sharply and the higher number lets more freq. pass through? Just checking.
I know one of these audiophiles on this place has to know!
Thanks DN for the response.

I think u might have it right, but i'm not to certain myself. Wish i could be of some more help. Maybe i can ask my friend who worked at WeeBee Audio and Video, which is a local Car and home audio/video place around here. he's pretty good with car stuff and thats where i'll be today b/c he has a garage we can heat.

I hafta see if i can find anything in the manual.
