Hey guys,
i'm looking for a new/used AMD Athalon XP 3200 cpu. If anyone has one that they like to sell, please contact me here with a price. For shipping/pickup purposes, i'm in san diego.

Thanks (2thumbs)

Ill sell you my whole system possibly if I can get what I want out of it. It has a AMD 3500+ venice processor and the mobo is a SLI pci express board.

I've got a pretty bitchin mobo right now so i dont need another one, i just need a better cpu. I've got the xp 2200 right now. (boom01)
Thanks tho. Just out of curiosity, how much would you want for it? And what else would come with it (if there is anything else)?

I dunno maybe about a grand i got more then that in it and I built it of course.

MSI K8N Neo4/SLI socket 939 mobo
MSI 6600GT PCI express video card
Rosewill RP500 500W power supply
AMD athlon 64 3500+ venice processor
Corsair 1GB of ram (2 x 512)
Seagate SATA hd 120GB
Cooler master Centurion 5 case
DVD rom
Maybe a dvd burner
floppy
19" AOpen LCD monitor with DVI

no, thanks. At this point, the cost of upgrading each part would probably outweigh the cost of just buying a new computer outright.

the mobile bartons are unlocked so you can overclock the multiplier so you could easily get it to 2ghz

if you just want a little more speed raise the fsb on your 2200 to 140 or 145

my 1800+ runs at 145 easily with stock voltages and that gives me about 150 more mhz

I wouldnt spend too much on that thing. If anything, look for a 2500+ moble or an old 1700+ thoroughbred b (overclocks to 2.5 range)- dont pay more than $30-$40.

Ive seen frys electronics do $100 socket 754 athlon 64 mobo/proc combos before - bought one for my parents and even with the crappy ecs mobo it overclocked to 2.5 ghz.

Really though, I would just suck it up and get a socket 939 setup.

yup a mobile barton kicks ass, i love it because it's unlocked. And I bet a majority of people here probably don't know about it and how to overclock a cpu properly with a good mobo. They probably go through their bios and think raising the fsb is overclocking..

it should be an option on the good ones too...

thats why they have PCI and AGP dividers. Overclocking by FSB is *still* overclocking by any means...
