the ETS TMIC is supposed to provide better airflow than the factory TMIC.

You know what I want? a hood, with a flush style scoop in it......to direct air directly into the TMIC....... I guarantee you'll notice better response from the car.
Hmmm well the charts so 20 hp and torque so something must be right!

Don't always believe what a manufacturer "claims" in gains...... they can compare it as doing a dyno pull while the car is HOT, and without fans........ and then do another run after the car is cooled, the intercooler is iced and fans running on it....... that way they can compare from the lowest stock dyno to the highest modified dyno runs....... it's called "marketing" to a lot of people numbers make a difference........but numbers don't always mean everything.

Hmm.. speaking of ice on the intercooler.. the guy i know with the wrx puts a bag of ice on his intercooler after he runs to cool the intercooler.. Think it helps? Can u put cold water on it or will it crack??

cold water, I don't know.... i know they have "spritzers"....that setup that looks like a NOS bottle and provides a burst of cold air for the intercooler? (I think it's co2)..... but those are mainly used on FMIC......never heard of them being used on TMICs......

[edit]

Apparently you can use it on the TMIC.......

I dunno about cold water but the site says it's "liquid co2".....

I'm not sure what is directly below the TMIC on our motor because I've never taken mine off, but water may be a bad Idea if the Injectors/plugs are right below the intercooler.

Good point.... So u think the ice is even worth it?

i hve done both, the ice just works better! the water you spray in the intercooler will evaporate right away, you dont need to soke it just a little water is ok!

Do u think it actually works though?? I mean is it better to watch a couple races then drive or would the ice do enough to buy it and put it on there?
