what to expect from my twm short shifter

hey everyone i recently purchased a twm shift kit and was wondering has anyone installed one on here and how they like it i payed 320 for mine shipped with custom milling on the knob and a boot to match the car.

The shifting will be shorter, but also notchier and higher effort. I'm still not sure it was a good decision for me. I do like the shorter shifting, but I also liked the buttery smoothness of the OEM shifter. I also don't like the fact that the thin leather boot tore about a year after installation. I probably could have got it replaced for free, but I didn't feel like having to deal with it.

well is your shifter weighter? that could make it much smoother

I don't understand your question. I have the TWM short shifter, and with it I bought one of their heavy shift knobs. Short shifters almost always reduce shift smoothness.

sorry i mean weighted not weighter haha. what i did is cut my stock shifter as low as i could and used my universal knob on it. lost an inch and its still smooth as poop

I'm very happy with my TWM short shifter. Nice crisp quick shifts. Relatively easy to install. I left my stock shift boot and I think it is just fine, I just tucked it in around the shifter. I have no regrets.
