What colour should I paint my DGM front lip?

Oh, it was by no means perfect when I received it. This fitment is after a few hours of sanding and checking.

If it were CF, I think doin half CF and the side skirts CF would better than black. Personally, I'd still go all red though. IMO, I'd\\ only do half CF and CF side skirts if I had a white car.

initially the front end of the P5 looks titts
if you paint it all red i would say nice lip and that looks titts... until you scratch it!

questions for you: what is your ride height? stock height or are you lowered? if lowered, how much? finally, what is the distance between the bottom of the lip and the ground?

my front bumper has some curb rash underneath from the previous owner. i was thinking about getting that lip to cover up the scratches instead of having a body shop repaint it. i would just have them paint the lip and install it myself.

oh yeah, did you pay $150 + shipping and how long did it take to arrive?

stock height, not going to lower it for a few years if I do at all. Where my car sits now its about 4" off the ground...

what i would really like to see is someone with a cf lip paint the top half to match the car and the bottom cf, but also get the cf sideskirts and paint the top half of them to match the car (since there is a line across the sideskirts that separates top from bottom).

If you paint the bottom half of the lip black and the side skirts black then what about the rear. If you don't tie it all together then you may look like a Honduh with an unpainted body kit.

I can see it now, " Hey look at that red Protege, but too bad he didn't finish painting the body kit."

So my vote is to paint it all red unless you have other body parts painted black to tie it all together. Such as the center of the hood blacked out, blacked out headlights, gloss black rims & the lower section of the rear bumper could be blacked out too.

Hmm... some considerations.... oh, my car came standard with black headlights (think that is a Canada thing?). I'm thinking red is the way to go, easier and cheaper.

I have a yellow p5 and my dgm lip is painted black. I just got my dgm carbon fiber hood today, so i'll post pics of a p5 with a black dgm lip and carbon fiber hood as soon as i can install it.

Here it is...notice that the paint on the lip is already ****** up (jerkit). There is mad construction going on in the neighborhood and i've his a shitload of potholes already.

That does look really nice, it's just tough to say how the black will look on red. The black on yellow looks great though, nice job. Friggin potholes eh (doh)

That does look pretty good... but I didn't plan on painting my hood black, and I think to make it all work a black hood (or mostly black) would have to be done.... perhaps if I don't like red I can always try black out at a later date ;-)
