Went back to the Stock CX7 Rims - Chrome Sucks

After three months of trying to seriously take care of the chrome rims that came with my CX7, my Mazda dealer pulled a set of stock alloy rims off a new CX7 and swapped out my chromes.

The chromes are just too insane to take care of. They started pitting and it was impossible to keep them clean.

Standing back and looking at the car, I actually like the alloys better than the chrome. At least they always look clean.

Glad my dealer took care of me. I looked over my original purchase sticker prices and the wheels were part of the package, not a listed item with a + $$$ attachment.

Taken care of, under warranty? I'm wondering if the wheels are defective. I thought chrome wheels were durable.

Good to hear you got what you wanted!

No warranty, just dealership taking care of me. The rims are Mazda CX7 rims sent off to California to be chromed. That company said it was a environment issue and not their fault. So the dealership just gave me alloys and threw the chromes on one of their demo CX7s. We are both happy.

Haven't got any good pics of the CX7 yet. But these two I took when I first handed my wife the keys to her CX9:
